My boyfriend and I were visiting from Baltimore and Mario's Catalina was recomended to us by a few people in Baltimore! We were so pleased with the food, atmosphere and service that we went back again during our 6 day vacation! Mario greeted us...and every patron...and all staff was attentive and fabulous. The food was authentic and so so flavorful.... More

I was seeking a restaurant the is warm and cozy with great food, and I found it! This is a great place to go for any occasion or just for dinner. I love the service. Every time I attend I am always greeted by ALL of the staff from the owner to the cooks. The art work is mastery and... More

We came to Mario's with another couple and their 2 kids. We were looking for great Cuban food in the area. When we got to the restaurant we were a little weary as the outside of the place is not that inviting. It looked like a hole in the wall (slightly) but we decided to check the inside out. We... More

We were visiting from Baltimore and Mario's had been highly recommended. From the moment we walked through the door we were welcomed by all staff and Mario makes it a point to say hello and check in on everyone's experience. Such a warm, personal and classy atmosphere. The food was flavorful and authentic, the red sangria was the best I've... More

Okay, so for those who are complaining about the price, please see the three dollar signs under the name. The prices are steep, but the Mojitos are strong, the food is delicious, and the staff is attentive and friendly. We sat at the bar and had the Tamal with Lechon and Empanadas. After that and a couple of Mojitos and... More

My wife and I were invited here for dinner last night, having never been before. Everything about Mario's is first class! This was one of my most memorable meals since arriving in South Florida 10 years ago. Easy to find and easy to park in their own private parking lot. Once inside, I was taken aback on how warm and... When i first moved to Ft Lauderdale i always drove by Mario's but from the appearance of the outside it didn't look like a restaurant that would interest me. I've heard very good things about the restaurant so i decided to try it. The ambiance inside is indescribable! Mario is usually always there and will greet you with open arms... More

It was our first night in Ft. Lauderdale and our friends had told us to go Catalina's. We were greeted like we were family and made to feel right at home! The owner came to speak with us and the servers were always gracious. The FOOD was the best part! The chicken and shrimp special was delicious! My husband had... More

Had an awesome lunch yesterday with my bff at Catalina restaurant and wanted to share my experience so others will be tempted to dine at this fabulous place. The marriquitas w/ chimmichurri sauce were the perfect way to tantalize my palate before my meal of chicken breast with onions & peppers which was served with yellow rice and plantains. All... More
