Have to say I was reluctant to try the place after reading the negative reviews about the owner playing games with the bill but my husband and I went with an open mind and stayed alert for any of the gimmicks desribed by others. It was a fabulous meal. The food was excellent, the service was warm and attentive. My... More

I remember Mario back in the day when he had a little out of the way restaurant by Galt Ocean Mile. He worked really hard to become successful, but things changed in the new place. Prices got expensive and he seemed to become disingenuous. Frequently the bill had to be challenged at the end of a beautiful dinner, putting everyone... More

Presentation and entree preparation are of the best quality, and the service s very good and with proper attention.Nice Spanish wine selection, and the mojitos are top notch too! Try a weekday evening, as weekends it can be quit crowded. The roast pork the bomb! One of the best and the presentation as it is... More

We had a lovely evening here - food was really great, waitstaff perfectly attentive. The environment felt comfortable, it was busy but not too loud. All 4 of us loved our entrees. It is not inexpensive, but you are paying for food and service that is worth the price.

I lived in Tampa Fl for years and have been is S Florida 4 more years. I have had a lot of Cuban food in my time. I would call Mario's gourmet Cuban food. This was my 2nd time here. Everything has great flavor and is cooked to perfection. My wife and I split this appetizer [49.95] because we wanted... More

LOVE this place. The decor that gives a sense of Old World charm, the excellent service, and most importantly, the FOOD. EXCELLENT food. (Have the pork, if you eat pork - you won't regret it.) It's a bit pricey but worth it IMHO. This is one of those places you discover and then you tell your friends they HAVE to... More

This restaurant is fabulous!!!! For a truly authentic Cuban experience ask Mario for his recommendation. The service is exceptional. Everyone is so attentive. Now for the food. We had black beans, rice, shrimp and salmon and plantains (two separate dishes). It was fantastic. The flavor of the food burst in your mouth. Our meal was seasoned to perfection. You must... More

It all looks nice on pictures but the truth is different. I had called to reserve a table I don't know why because they didn't even ask me for my name. Then we got seated near the door and the people, servers and guests bumped in to me at all times after 15min of arriving I asked to speak to... More
