Drive Or Hail An Uber, It's More Than Worth It

This was my favorite meal in Ft Lauderdale, and the service was the best part. And if it weren't for several stormy hours freeing up time and my appetite not kicking in until late afternoon, I might never have thought to leave the A1A strip to find this gem. My Lechon Asado was outstanding, and... read more

We had such a great experience here! The owner (Mario) welcomed us personally. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Not only was the food outstanding, but they kept bringing us more. We both received free mojitos, and free rice pudding for dessert. I had the "Marios favorite combo" and the snapper was fantastic. So much wonderful food - great meal... More

I am not certain how we have not known about this local restaurant. We were looking for a place with close proximity to our performing arts center. From the road, Mario's is unassuming and clearly can be overlooked. The moment we reached the door, we were greeted and cared for like old friends. Just meeting the staff and owner makes... More

It was a little pricey but worth it! The service was wonderful and the food was good. All of the staff members were hyper-diligent. Great job.

I highly recommend Mario's Catalina Restaurant for a wonderful dining experience. My partner and I had the opportunity to join 10 of our friends for drinks and dinner at Mario's Catalina on 4/14/15. We've eaten here before but the food just continues to get better with each visit. Cocktails are served in large glasses with a very generous pour!! On... More

House made Sangria is yummy but cost is near $35-$40. Food had nice presentation and staff was very accomodating. A nice, quaint restaurant with class but will cost you $150-$200 per couple.

On the way to the airport we simply stopped and looked for a place to have a light meal. At Catalina's the staff was very friendly and provided us with great sandwiches and salads.

My wife and I had dinner at Mario's. Despite questionable reviews related to whether the extreme price was worth the output of food, we decided to give it a shot. We walked in to a somewhat empty restaurant and were happily greeted by the owner. After being seated, we were presented with a small dish while being told "this is... More

We visit often and we are never disappointed with the food. The specials are always great and the steak is yummy. Got to try the plantains and sangria!!! We love this place, we feel welcome every time. Mario himself is always there making sure everything is perfect!

Try their huge appetizer assortment platter, it's amazing. You might just have to skip the entree and move right on to dessert but you'll be missing out on their meats, which are cooked to perfection. Mario himself is an added treat to this experience, and the ambience is charming
