It was my first time to this area and I was impressed with the abundance of restaurants. I was told that many are either there forever or just there for a year or two. This place may be in the in-between category, but everything we had was exceptional, in terms of being fresh, done with a bit of imagination (but... More

The Mason Jar Cafe is not easy to find, as it sits in a tiny strip store area, but don't be turned off by the location. The food offers a variety of unique flavors and presentations, and is a hidden gem. A little pricey for the location, but you get an interesting and unique meal.

After seeing so many great reviews of this restaurant, my husband and I anticipated some wonderful home cooked "comfort food". I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was the worst example of that entree I had ever eaten. Underneath a huge amount of crispy breading was a paper thin tiny piece of skirt steak which had a slimy texture.(suggestion...use... More

Great up-scale home cooking! Six of us for lunch, all very happy with our choices. The brussels sprouts are unique and relish! The chicken pot pie enormous. Crab cake sandwich very good. Generous portions all around, and everything comes with "a side." Our wait staff was just the best!

We love their chicken fried chicken and their brussel sprouts are amazing! And be sure to get the their spoonbread or mac and cheese (yes that's a side - who needs green things on a plate!). We also enjoy their chicken pot pie and their crab cake sandwich. This is not a place that serves bread before a meal so... More

We went to the Mason Jar Cafe for dinner on a busy Memorial Day weekend after we called ahead for seating. The Mason Jar is located on the busy a Federal Hwy stretch where there are many restaurants. The Mason Jar is unique for South Florida in that it serves "country" food with a bit of sophistication thrown in, meaning... More
