Unexpectedly great lunch!

Had lunch there with two retired buddies. I usually go with them just to get together seldom for the places they pick. This was a wonderful surprise! I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup with cornbread side. Both friends had the country crab burger. One had brussel sprout side- with pistachios... read more

If you get a chance, try the tomato, blue cheese, and bacon soup!! Yum! Also, the brussel sprouts with pistachio was delicious. Food is fresh and bathroom was spotless!

Generous portions, choice of two sides with each entree. Note that one of your sides can be a salad. I ordered the house salad with poppy seed dressing. I thought it was salty. Others disagreed. My skirt steak was fine, nothing special. I ordered the Brussel sprouts. Mostly leaves sautéed in a pan. I forgot and my leftovers remained at... More

Nice, cozy ambience. Lobster bisque was awesome; the consistency of clam chowder. We had the spinach ravioli; nice and light and flavorful. Pistachio Mahi Mahi with Granny Smith apples was tasty. Brussels sprouts and spoon corn bread were fantastic!! And the carrot cake was a great finish; the cake was cool with a warm frosting. Will definitely come back to... More

Called to make reservation, got answering machine, left tele # in hope of getting a return call. Wanted to know if lamb chops are on the menu, since the menu was not on the web site. After researching other sites I found that the restaurant was for sale in a newspaper article. Never received a return call so we went... More

Quiet quaint little restaurant with good home cooking. Service staff is fabulous and friendly and I love the Brussels Sprouts. I noticed alot of people order the green bean cassarole so I guess that must be very good. Parking an issued up front but drive around back and you can find a spot and enter in that entrance. Always make... More

You might drive right on by this little gem. It's hidden with small sign in a nondescript strip mall. There are a ton of bigger, flashier restaurant all over this area. The space is homey and cozy, although I did find it a tad dark. I found the service to be friendly and welcoming. My ice tea (served in a... More

Good food with attentive service with a comfortable, causal atmosphere. We have eaten there several times with friends. The only reason we do not go there more often is that the owners adamantly refuse to accept the American Express Card. Since that is the only card I use in the USA, the only time we go there is when there... More

People in Ft. Lauderdale must not know home cooking. This was our second lunch visit to this restaurant. I ordered the chicken fried chicken sandwich and he ordered the meatloaf sandwich. Both are $10. I could do better at the fast food chicken restaurant down the street in terms of taste and price. Both sandwiches were exceedingly bland and begged... More
