Thoughtful Cooking, VG Results

I come here every time when in the area. It's family run and they take pride in serving well made food. What more do you really need from a restaurant? Yes, the food is very good, yes, there is a good selection, yes it does say coal fired pizza on the entrance and they have good ones. Just do... read more

I got the tamarindo special which was shrimp, steak and chicken with two sides for $16.99. I got the rice, beans and an extra side of fried yuka just to try it. The steak was flavorful. Probably best thing on the plate. I thought the rice and beans would be mixed like other Cuban places but it wasn't. The fried... More

Don't let the unforgettable curbside appearance fool you! Excellent food! The garlic and olive oil mixture that comes with the bread is amazing. You'll have garlic breath for the next week but it's worth it. My favorite is the chicken soft tacos in the flavorful corn tortilla. Service is prompt, friendly and attentive! Pleasant Latin music playing in the background... More

Went on a Monday night for dinner and had a great experience. Don't judge this place by the exterior, there's a full bar and the food is really outstanding. The menu prices are about right for the quality of food so don't expect a steal, but at El Tamarindo you get what you pay for. Our drinks were also very... More

Found this spot as we were driving down US 1. Great local restaurant with wonderful service. We sat out on the patio and had a wonderful meal! Great prices for lunch $6.99 for an entrée and two sides.

My dining experience was ruined.....never again! Arrived around 9:30 pm on a Friday evening, table for 10. Orders placed and all good so far, then 10 minutes later and one meal has to be changed....no sea bass. Ok, recalculate and change order.....no problem. 10 more minutes pass and the server returns and says no more beans. Of course all 10... More

Even though the exterior of the restaurant is unappealing, the quality of the food and the great customer service I received made this a great find. I ate at the bar on my own and it was very enjoyable. The food was reasonably priced and vry tasty.
