Authentic Cuban!

We loved the reviews of this restaurant from tripadvisor but had to battle a rain storm in the dark to find it. It was a quiet night with very few patrons and there appeared to only be one person waiting on tables, possibly the owner or manager, while 2 other people put up Valentine's Day... read more

Attended a wonderful concert at neary St TomasAquinas' Bienes Center....and looked for place to eat beforehand. Salad and fish were tasty. Prices reasonable. No light in the lade' room...and manager could not replace it....so had to leave stall open..place is very tired and it may be the only place within 2 miles before a concert...eat where your live before you... While overnight in Ft Lauderdale for a cruise the next day, the family wanted to try some authentic Cuban food. Found this place on Trip Advisor and it was in walking distance. I will say up front I have only had Cuban food once in my life so I do not have a lot of experience but this was amazing.... More

we found this place on trip advisor and decided to try it out. It was a Saturday night and it was pretty empty. But we were early (6:30pm). I started off with a mojito which was suggested by the server. It was amazing! So fresh and delicious. We then had empanadas which were delicious. Our meals came, picadillo and flank... More

Have been going here 13 years. Food has been different over the past year or so. I know ownership has changed and I wish the new owners great success. The previous owners were always there to greet you by name and made sure your meal was top notch. The few times we have been there since, the food seems different??... More

The food is very typical Cuban food. The maduros are sweet and delicious. Go outside your comfort zone and order typical Cuban good. The Ropa Vieja is wonderful. Have it with white rice and black beans. Try the pork chunks or the chicken chunks, both are delicious. End it with a cuban coffee and enjoy the rest of the day... More

Was in town for business. Figured since I was so close to Miami I could find a good Cuban restaurant. Wow, was I surprised by this place. Business was slow but had a nice sized homey dining room. I am not an expert on Cuban food but compared to the 4 or 5 places I have eaten at in my... More

I wanted some Cuban food while in Fort Lauderdale and found this place on TripAdvisor. I took the Sun trolly on Las Olas to the Broward Art school then took a cab to Don Arturo which was $7. The atmosphere was dated, but no surprised as was expected from the reviews. This place was clean, has good food and some... More

Great food. Reasonable price. Good service. The place could use a decorator. Looks like I stepped into the 70's. But great for lunch.
