This place was not a good choice for dinner. Its a loud brightly lit place that has an almost small town diner. The difference here is the food is not that great. I got the seafood platter that was, generously speaking, bland. The food had no flavor at all. But even worse is the other stuff we observed. We were... More

We had frog legs, gator tail bites, early bird fish fry and small order of scallops and pasta. The portions of cabbage salad are huge. Everything was mighty tasty. Prices are very reasonable.

This is the second visit on my annual trip to Ft. Lauderdale. the place looks old, but I love it, most seats are different from each other as if they bought it from a garage sale, but I love it. In a nut shell, best seafood quality and quantity in town. 12 giant scallops cooked to perfection the way you... More

The first thing this establishment needs to address is the smell that greets you when you walk in the door. It does not make for a good first impression. If you do decide to stick around you will be relieved to have their complimentary hush puppies. I only wish they provide something to dip it in. The sweet tea was... More

After speaking with some locals, my friends and I made the decision to make the trek away from the beach area we were staying to see if Catfish Deweys was worth all the hype. There was a longer wait then expected (40-45 minutes) but there was plenty of seating around the restaurant. We all had something different, Catfish, steak and... More

Very limited parking but managed to get one on the side of the building which did not look very appealin but we went in anyway. Dated decor but the food was tremendous. Early bird special 4 to 6 with quite a few choices include entree, cole slaw, choice of side, hushpuppies, beverage and dessert.. I had the fried shrimp that... More

I am Italian do my feedback about this place is meant to be a different perspective on things. I adored its typical atmosphere, I adored the food (scallops, shrimps, lobster tail, hush puppies...all divine)...and provided it is not a pretentious place, i didn't expect something different from a "normal" Americaplace out of the touristic area. been there twice, hope to... A co-worker recommend Catfish Dewey's to us so we all decided to try it out for lunch. While this restaurant has been around forever in South Florida I don't why. Yes, I know it is a dive and you can't expect much from the place, really this was a bit much. We entered and the first thing that hit us... More
