Best shrimp in the area.

Another south Florida dive but with excellent food. The place is a throw back from the 70s and needs a major makeover. The carpet is nasty. But, they have the best shrimp in the area. Good values on their special all you can eat nights.

We listened to you trip advisor guys again....THIS TIME YOU WERE RIGHT! We went on AYCE Snow crab night. Disappointed by the HIGH PRICED STONE CRAB. They advertise this as AYCE every day....but did not deliver. NOT CORRECT Pal. Poor advertising. Not sure what the problem is...but do not advertise what you do not deliver. The place was packed. The... More

I rarely reply YES to the TripAdvisor question "Is this one of the best meals you've ever had in a restaurant" but Catfish Deweys deserves the positive response. We drive from Miami Beach to Ft. Lauderdale from time to time and when I'm very lucky, we end up at Catfish Deweys. This past Saturday (09 May) was our anniversary and... More

Have been back several times since my 2012 review. This time for my birthday with family and friends. I'm stuck on the all you can eat "whole" catfish with grits, cold slaw and hush puppies $ 16.50. Two had the seafood combo, fish, scallops and fried shrimp $ 21.00.. A friend and my wife ordered the fried shrimp (the best... More

If you like shrimp, chicken, or lobster you have to try Catfish Deweys. I'm sure the catfish is tops too, but I haven't tried it. Mediocre pricing, good waiters/waitresses, and excellent food help to overlook the dirty carpeting. Highly recommend. Don't let the "off the beatin path" location scare you.

While visiting a friend, we mentioned we really preferred food that was different, local but really good and she brought us to Catfish Deweys. Several in our party ate the all you can eat crawdads and were very happy with the quality and freshness. Others enjoyed blackened fish and shrimp and all ten of us left very satisfied and saying... I hesitate to write this review, because I was brought here by a local, and feel this is the type of place the locals don't want the tourists to discover. That being said, hopefully any local who hasn't been who reads this review will check it out! As most other reviews say, the place needs a remodel- or maybe it... More

The only reason I didnt give this place 5 stars is because the bathrooms were not very clean. There was actually a roach on the men's room floor but let's be serious, that could happen most places. My wife and mother both had the all you can eat crab legs. Both said they were outstanding!! $34 for the crab legs... More

My husband and I travel to South Florida once a year and always try to make a stop here. My husband loves the stone crabs and I always get the steak, this time we had our two year old with us and he had the child's catfish and the serving was huge. Parking can be a bit of a pain,... More
