We were looking for some stone crab claws and our hosts said Catfish Deweys. We went and were impressed. It is not a fancy place but it is certainly a great place to eat. Not having had Stone crab claws before, our eating mates suggested 4 large claws rather than a larger order or all you can eat. I noticed... More

This restaurant is not a 5 star fancy place. However, it is a home cooked meal fit for a king! I was visiting the area and ended up eating there twice. Great food, outstanding service, clean, friendly, and very reasonably priced. You won't regret trying it!!!

This long time old Florida eatery is not fancy and quite large. Great prices and portions. All you can eat Stone Crabs in season and fresh fried creek shrimp or catfish all the time. Good oysters on the half shell at affordable prices. We have been patrons for decades; still good!

It's been awhile since I was at Catfish Dewey's. We've been there many times. The decor is fishing camp - rifles and fish on the walls, red and white checked oilcloth on the tables. When we arrived tonight we were told there would be a 25 minute wait. Wrong! It was much longer. They were really busy tonight. Finally got seated.... More

Our second visit, since we'd enjoyed it immensely the first time we visited here two years ago. Our friends joined us and it was a perfect spot for great food and conversation. Our waitress was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. We had shrimp cocktail, hush puppies, crawdads, ribs, crab claws, salads and it was all delicious. The desserts... More

We have driven past Catfish Dewey's many times. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, we are not into catfish, so we have always passed by. We arrived for an early dinner hoping to get to a movie. The parking lot was packed and they had a parking attendant helping people find a spot. A busy place is... More

This restaurant is an institution and I have eaten here many times over the last 20 years. You don't come here for the ambiance, you come here for the excellent down home seafood. The hushpuppies are some of the best ever! Great prices as well. The fish is always very fresh, and the crab is to die for. Watch for... More

We visited Catfish Dewey's on a Sunday evening, and since there was a little bit of a wait, I figured that we must be in a pretty good place. I think we were perhaps the only obvious "tourists" in the place. It really has the feel of a place for locals. Service was good and friendly, and not long after... More

This place is always busy... but the wait isn't too bad. They promote various specials weekknights like an all-you-can-eat catfish, or rib deals so that draws traffic. Even with teh volume, they keep things rolling and I've never had a bad service experience here. I love their lunches--- you get great portions like three pieces of catfish for $8.99 and... More
