Very limited parking but managed to get one on the side of the building which did not look very appealin but we went in anyway. Dated decor but the food was tremendous. Early bird special 4 to 6 with quite a few choices include entree, cole slaw, choice of side, hushpuppies, beverage and dessert.. I had the fried shrimp that... More

I am Italian do my feedback about this place is meant to be a different perspective on things. I adored its typical atmosphere, I adored the food (scallops, shrimps, lobster tail, hush puppies...all divine)...and provided it is not a pretentious place, i didn't expect something different from a "normal" Americaplace out of the touristic area. been there twice, hope to... We heard so much about this place but was very disappointed when we arrived ..the staff was friendly..however the two things that we really wanted was not available on the menu which we were not told until after we had placed our order...clam and oysters..and it was only two in the afternoon...the hush puppies were ok and also the conch... A co-worker recommend Catfish Dewey's to us so we all decided to try it out for lunch. While this restaurant has been around forever in South Florida I don't why. Yes, I know it is a dive and you can't expect much from the place, really this was a bit much. We entered and the first thing that hit us... More

I haven't been here in awhile - during season, the line is usually out the door and off season..who feels like getting dressed and going out in this freekin' heat??? Anyway, I decided it would be a great place to take my Pastor's wife to lunch, and they did not disappoint. We arrived at noon and there were only a... More

You can tell that Catfish Dewey's has been around a long time. It has the old style decoration that looks like it has not been updated since they were opened. Atmosphere aside, the food was pretty good. I got the baked scallops and they were wonderful. Even more exciting, the side dishes were surprisingly good. They gave us a basket... More

We took a party of 16 to Catfish Deweys last weekend. We usually go there for the all you can eat stone crabs which are delicious but they aren't in season right now so we had to opt for other dishes. The service we had was excellent....our food came out on a timely basis and our server was quite attentive... More

Went here for the early bird special. You get a ton of food for reasonable prices. I got the shrimp and it was amazing. I got 12 plus hushpuppies, cole slaw, potatoes, dessert and a drink! The deep fried food people got was great but other food wasn't so great. My husbands steak was overcooked and very fatty. The mashed... More

A real old Florida family-style restaurant. I had fried shrimp as recommended by a friend and it was excellent, as was the home-made coleslaw, though the accompanying fries weren't so great. One friend had a blackened shrimp salad which was also really good, but a second friend was less impressed by the crab cakes.
