Good stone crabs but a bit shabby

We've lived here for quite a while, but just started going to this place. What drew us in were the all-you-can-eat stone crabs. They are terrific, fresh and reasonably priced. The rest of the menu is a bit more eclectic with a lot of fried fish. You will also be eating in a very big room with... read more

Catfish Deweys isn't near the beach or all the hotels. It is a hidden gem! Don't be fooled by the exterior-looks small but is really big inside. This place just has a fun vibe and service is excellent. Homey red checkered table cloths. You're not there for the atmosphere, but for the fantastic food! We got the in season stone... More

This place is a great neighborhood find. Open 30 years, I don't think it's been remodeled since then. But, it's a great funky, casual ambience. And the stone crab and other seafood are delicious and very well priced. We will definitely be back!

Took two family members from the Midwest to our favorite spot in south Florida for stone crab claws. The place is always busy, last night they were packed. Ten minutes for a table... Not too bad..we all (4) enjoyed a pound each of medium claws.. Always served fresh..with one side dish and coleslaw..and not to forget the out of the... More

A virtual seafood emporium. People come for the food, not the ambiance. With the plastic red checkered tablecloths and country music playing in the background, this is not elegance, but is the destination for all things crab legs, stone crabs, catfish, and scallops. On this Sunday afternoon, the tables were filled with groups eating all sorts of shellfish, and piling... More

Great catfish. Fried very well not greasy, generous portions! Would comment they open at 11:30 am not 11 am as usual places do. Also, we arrived just a few minutes early and doors were open but were not allowed inside yet. Kinda off putting. Would definitely do again but not very special experience.

This one is worth the visit. What a fun, busy, entertaining place. Quite a mix of people and personalities. It's great to find a place that has character. The food was excellent, and plentiful. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the food, the bartenders, and the clientele. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a non chain restaurant... More

Thursday night all you can eat crab legs!!!!! Need I say more? The wait staff here was very friendly and the prices were very competitive. Some restaurants wait till you finish a plate of crab legs and ask if you want more, these people are very attentive and brought the next plate when I was almost finished with the last... More

Hit the place about 3:00 but they were serving lunch until 4:00 so that worked for us. Saw their entry in Great Locations which indicated " a favorite with locals" so we were game. Friendly and there were locals. Decently priced and willing to serve; made me a cherry diet coke using grenadine. Good quantity of food even on the... More
