This was our first visit and we were extremely satisfied. Our server was Athena and she was excellent. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend the chocolate lava cake desert.

We recently went here for lunch, as we were unable to get reservations for dinner. Our server seemed woefully unprepared and nervous - made us feel a bit uncomfortable for him actually. Service was pitifully slow - lunch took us over two hours. We were glad the weather was lousy, because we'd have hated to spend that much time inside... More

Can't believe we've "overlooked" this dining option for the last 20 years! On Friday night (during the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show), we dined in this restaurant extension of the local culinary school. Everything - food, service, ambiance - was OUTSTANDING! This $20 per person 3-course prix fixe dinner must be the best kept secret in Ft. Lauderdale. My wife... More

The Chef's Palette is connected to the International Culinary School of the FL Art Institute. It is only open on Fridays and Saturdays for lunch and dinner. A 3-course meal is only $20. The food was imaginative and beautifully presented. Do a search for the restaurant and instructions are given for reservations. Dress is casual.

Chef’s Pallete feels like a little secret. The restaurant is part of The Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale’s culinary training program, and features windows looking into the commercial kitchen and several class rooms. It’s easy to find and it's only open for most of the academic quarter, with limited hours. Parking is much easier for dinner service. This quarter's menu is... More

A 3-course meal for a fraction of the cost. Just one of the many reasons why we're fans of Chef's Palette. This student-run kitchen offers a gourmet menu on Thursdays + Fridays -- and we've been impressed with what we've tried. Today it was a charred octopus salad with roasted peppers and frisée, which was cooked perfectly, tender meat and... More

Part of a culinary school with student wait staff and assisting in the kitchen. The menu is limited and for dinner one receives a three course meal that is very abundant. The service was good and the food well prepared .For 19.99, best value in town. Wine is available and of good quality.

Because one of my children is finishing up at the art institute, we wanted to go to the restaurant attached to the school. What a Treat!. From the moment we entered, we were treated like we were in a first class restaurant, table settings were set formally, and we were greeted by one of the instructors. For lunch, $14.95, you... More

Had an awesome Mahi dinner 3 course for $19.99--These people are really working hard. Waiter very pleasant. Wife enjoyed her short rib dinner. Wine very reasonably priced. Great location. Not fancy, but can see all chef's training behind the glass in the kitchen. Chocolate dessert was great. Crab cakes ok. Not a place you'll be for 2 1/2 hours, but... More

We stayed at a hotel across the street and were fortunate to be in Ft. Lauderdale on the days the restaurant is open to the public. We had a delicious three course meal for $25, and glasses of a great champagne were $8 each. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is interesting because you can watch the chefs in training...
