Chef's Palette

Chef's Palette is very good. The students of the International Culinary School get their chance to work as server & chef. The meal was lunch I had snapper, veggies, tea, key lime pie.

We had lunch last Feb at Chef's Palette, and I could NOT WAIT to repeat the experience this winter! We managed to go for lunch, and 3 weeks later, dinner. Both events were FABULOUS!!! I have NEVER had such great food served in such a unique setting, for the amazingly low price that we were charged! The choices of appetizer,... More

When I was there I asked the server how long he had been there. He told me that this was his first time serving. He then went on to explain that he would be a server for 5 weeks and then would be a chef for 5 weeks. This was the first week that I was there, as a matter... More

This is my second review for this place. I came for dinner last year and I was so excited to return this year - I invited 3 relatives. Once again everyone in our party enjoyed the beautifully prepared food. And at $20/person for dinner for a 3-course meal, the final tab did not break my bank. Note that they no... More

This was our first visit and we were extremely satisfied. Our server was Athena and she was excellent. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend the chocolate lava cake desert.

We recently went here for lunch, as we were unable to get reservations for dinner. Our server seemed woefully unprepared and nervous - made us feel a bit uncomfortable for him actually. Service was pitifully slow - lunch took us over two hours. We were glad the weather was lousy, because we'd have hated to spend that much time inside... More

Can't believe we've "overlooked" this dining option for the last 20 years! On Friday night (during the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show), we dined in this restaurant extension of the local culinary school. Everything - food, service, ambiance - was OUTSTANDING! This $20 per person 3-course prix fixe dinner must be the best kept secret in Ft. Lauderdale. My wife... More

The Chef's Palette is connected to the International Culinary School of the FL Art Institute. It is only open on Fridays and Saturdays for lunch and dinner. A 3-course meal is only $20. The food was imaginative and beautifully presented. Do a search for the restaurant and instructions are given for reservations. Dress is casual.

Chef’s Pallete feels like a little secret. The restaurant is part of The Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale’s culinary training program, and features windows looking into the commercial kitchen and several class rooms. It’s easy to find and it's only open for most of the academic quarter, with limited hours. Parking is much easier for dinner service. This quarter's menu is... More

A 3-course meal for a fraction of the cost. Just one of the many reasons why we're fans of Chef's Palette. This student-run kitchen offers a gourmet menu on Thursdays + Fridays -- and we've been impressed with what we've tried. Today it was a charred octopus salad with roasted peppers and frisée, which was cooked perfectly, tender meat and... More
