After a long walk from the beach down Los Olas Blvd to the shops and restaurant district we stopped for a cold one at the Big City Tavern. Good selection of brews but late lunch menu surprisingly small. Good thing the spinach salad was on the menu. Really enjoyed the flavours of the walnuts, corn niblets, and crunchy green apple... The varied menu has something for everyone. The fish is well prepared and the service is quite attentive. Will be back.

It was the group's dinner choice after attending the Las Olas Art Show and we are locals. Atmosphere is good, so is the service. Good wine selection by the glass. Three of us had the fish special of the day, Hog Snapper and I'm not sure it was as fresh as the kitchen indicated. I did mention to our waiter... More

We were in Fort Lauderdale for a show, and our hotel was across the street from Big City. We stopped in to look at the menu and were impressed by the extensive menu. We enjoyed the flat bread appetizer, which our server, Fara, who was very accommodating, brought with both a ricotta sauce and a tomato sauce. It was excellent... More

I went here while on vacation with my bf. Service was very friendly and prompt. We started with the Asian calamari which was out of this world. It was cooked perfectly and the combination of the sauce, peanuts, apricots and scallions was ridiculous. And the portion was well enough for more than 2 people. For our entree we both had... More

After taking a cruise gawking at mansions and yachts we were looking for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We happened upon this downtown place and were able to get a table for five. The place was hopping with a brunch crowd. We did not want brunch so we ordered sandwiches off the menu. The steak sandwich was great but the... More

There are so many restaurants on Las Olas Blvd that it is hard to choose, so we just stopped at a convenient place. Lucky us. The waiter was friendly and well-informed and the food fresh and tasty. One of us had the meatballs with ricotta (recommended) and the other had a pasta dish. No complaints and we would return.

If you can catch the brunch, the stuffed French toast is amazing!!! Would have given five stars but the portions were fairly small for the price. Service was average to a bit slow, and skip the all you can drink mamosas's, they are terribly bitter. My fiance ordered the steak and spinach. I thought the steak was cooked perfectly, but... More
