This is one of the best place for German and European food. German Potato soup is Yammi, Hungarian beef goulash was served with mashed potatoes and spaetzel and red cabbage is delicious, Apple Strudel with vanilla ice cream was one of the best dessert I had. Love to enjoy the the old environment of Germany, service was friendly, they have... More

We were staying nearby after a Cruise. If you are into hearty meals which are at reasonable prices this is the place and you can sample a large range of European beers as well . Service was friendly and you can drift back and imagine you were in Germany 75 years ago.

I lived in West Germany - before the wall came down. Back when Reagan told the "evil empire" where to go...that's right! This place is as close as it gets in the U.S. I have been to soooo many German restaurants in the states and Canada. Old Heidelburg "feels" like - and you feel it. It you been there -... More

We came across Old Heidelberg through Trip Advisor and we weren't disappointed! Authentic atmosphere and food. Live Bavarian music and the most amazing schweinhoxie. We will be back!

It was a pleasent few hours of German music and food. wait staff was "fun". It seemed genuine, but I'm no expert ... great sauerbraten and sausages. They had a very very good non-alcoholic German beer!

This place was a real find. The food is authentically German and so are the servers. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but the selections were surprisingly great. My family of 4 all had different dishes and everything was delicious. The only thing bad about this place is that it's not a national chain.

We had a Ft. Lauderdale overnight at the Hampton Inn. On the recommendation of Kim at the front desk (who also arranged to take us over gratis) we decided to give the Heidleburg a try. Very glad we did. Great cold beers, great service, huge meals and very good food. Try the sampler, you'll get a little of a lot... More

I grew up with German food and for years I did a fair amount of German cooking. With this in mind, I was looking forward to their Saurerbraten. I was somewhat disappointed. The beef was not cooked in the sauce but rather pieces of roast(dry) was added as an after thought. The dumplings were excellent as was the strudel.
