Description: Since 1956, we have captivated people with our warmth and magical aura. The Mai-Kai authentically recreates a Polynesian Village, complete with tiki torches, a thatch roof, tropical gardens, waterfalls and museum quality artifacts. The exciting Islander Revue is performed nightly by native Polynesian dancers in colorful hand sewn costumes. The Hawaiian wedding dance will seduce you, and the Samoan Fire and Knife dance will leave you speechless. The Revue is a favorite of all ages. The award winning cuisine includes American and Cantonese dishes, many prepared in our Chinese Ovens, and each dining room reflects a different Island of Polynesia. The Molokai Bar is a South Seas saloon with over 51 tropical drinks and live music nightly. "Home of the Mystery Drink" served by our sarong-clad maiden, with an orchid lei. Try our House Specialties - Mai-Tai and Barrel o'Rum. Happy Hour nightly 5 - 7 pm. Our Mai-Kai trading post and gift shop will give you a chance to bring home your favorite memories of the Mai-Kai. From Hawaiian shirts and hats to Polynesian Jewelry, everyone is sure to find something to bring home

Anything to do with Hawaii will make me happy even though there are aspects of Mai-Kai that just can't be perfect. Oh well. First of all, parking is a big disarray here. You have to pay to park, or pay to be valet parked. It is $5 or $10 respectively. Waiting in line with a reservation is not heaven. You... More

I love the kitchy Polynesian restaurants that still exist around the country. I was hoping for a fun night out with a lot of kitsch. However the Mai-Kai just seems tired, like the glory days have long gone. It's a huge complex and you can imagine how exotic it must have been when it opened. Our table was not ready,... More

A fun and tasty night out. While not a lot of food choices, everything we had was of good quality and well prepared. Drinks were a little pricey. Service was outstanding and waitstaff were very friendly. The show was well done, dancers were good performers, costumes were very good and the facility, while dated, is fun to walk through. Better... More

This is a cute place to visit if you are a tourist, especially with older children. I have been to other Polynesian restaurants with shows and had a different expectation bc I was judging based on the past. It did not hold up, unfortunately. We were a party of 5 with a toddler. They sat us in a VERY, VERY... More

We went there with a group of friends so it was not our choice of restaurants. There was ample parking but they charge $10 plus tip to valet park your car ( no other choice seemed readily available). The drink menu was extensive, offering many tropical delights as well as standard fare. The cost of the drinks was quite high.... More

Mai Kai has been operating since 1956 and still one of the top attractions in the whole state of Florida. The food is very good and while the drinks may be a little more expensive the whole deal is about the total experience..... the Polynesian Show of about 40mins is terrific and has been somewhat improved over what we saw... The Mai Kai is that quirky institution that keeps on going and going. After moving away from Ft. Lauderdale 10 years ago we traveled down from Atlanta for the winter break. We spent the evening at the Mai Kai for the late show. Dinner was rushed but ended up being delicious. The whole atmosphere from pulling in to walking out... More

Went with a family of 7. Show was good, not super great but definitely worth seeing once. Gives a good history lesson on Polynesia. Food was average, speaking on behalf of our 7 guests. Mine was great! Service was fantastic -especially for how busy it was. Garden area was nice. Bar was cool!

You have to go into the Mai Kai with the understanding of what it's all about. First, it's a 70's dinner theater. Very 70's. Go into the bar for 1/2 price drinks before dinner. The servers are scantily clad and fun. They have a large drink menu and appetizers. It cheaper to drink in here than in the restaurant. Bar... More

We had looked forward to visiting Mai Kai for months, and decided to go for my wife birthday. It turned out to be a big letdown. We chose the Bali Hai menu $47.00 per person choice of app, entree and dessert. We ordered the calimari which did not taste fresh or that tasty. The calimari was clearly a frozen product... More
