I tried the bacon wrapped scallops for the first time and it blew my mind! The orange chicken too! So many good choices. New drink choices were the Hidden Pearl and Special Planters. Excellent!

One of Fort Lauderdale's greats! Love the shows and the atmosphere. You really feel transported back to the 1950's Hawaii! The dancers and entertainment is always exciting and fun. The food is really good and I always have had the best drinks. They have packages for dinner and the show, but I tend to like to order off the menu.... More

Mai Kai is a piece of history from the 1950's that still holds this experience... Yes it's over priced, but the ambiance and drinks make up for it. Went with our family and had a lot of fun. Yes the dancers may move a little slower and the food a little older but the charm of this nostalgic gem is... More

I love the drinks at Mai-Kai, they really make great cocktails and what I like is they've catagorised them according to strength. The food is good, I chose from the set menu which includes the show. The deco is typical of the Polynesian Islands and the show is entertaining though nothing very spectacular. I would never go back again for... More

After reading some of the reviews I had my reservations but figured we would give it a try. I am so glad that we did. Four of us went for dinner and show and all had the same opinion. Quality of food was excellent and the show was well done. We ordered off the menu , not the package deal... More

the show was absolutely worth every penny. the food, sadly to say, was not. i actually got a 24 hr type of sickness from the fish. even if i hadn't gotten sick, the food still wasn't worth it. go for the show and order your food carefully.

Very interesting restaurant. Without reservations, we were seated immediately in a lovely corner table near water falls and lush greenery. (We opted not to see the show this time but in the past we did see it and not impressed.) We were immediately offered a drink menu only. A waiter dressed in a stark white suit came to take our... Expensive drinks and food but well worth the money. The Hawaiin dancers in the show were very good. Great place to take out-of-towners.

If you enjoy anything tropical, "old-Florida" classic, one- of- a- kind hidden gems, FANTASTIC authentic Polynesian floor shows (as in next thing to it would be found in Honolulu)---this place is for you! I see some have listed it as being overpriced---what in a tourist mecca isn't--but, just check their advertising or call and find out when the Early Bird... More

When visiting in Florida, we make it a point to catch the Mai-Kai Happy Hours 5 to 7 PM. Half price appetizers and drinks. Everything we've tried so far we've loved, especially the lobster bisque, tuna tar-tare, scallops w/bacon, goat cheese salad and Oysters Rockefeller. We've enjoyed all the drinks, our favorite being "Barrel of Rum." They occasionally have music... More
