I had heard good things about Tom Jenkins and decided to give it a try for lunch. No doubt it is good BBQ but for me the portions were too small for the price. A sandwich lunch platter plus a drink will set you back about $13 including tip. In my opinion there are better lunch bargains to be found.... More

Authentic wood smoked barbeque, my wife and I stopped on a whime. Excellent catfish, top beef brisket. Limited seating but well worth the stop and priced great for a family.

We are from Chicago. We have never been to Kansas or Texas, who are known for their bbq. But we have been to Tom Jenkins! When we arrive in Fort Lauderdale we rent a car, drive straight to the hotel, check in and then drive directly to Tom Jenkins BBQ. The dining area is not big. There is one long... More

On holiday, and staying with a friend who is local - I don't usually enjoy food from the bone but this was a unique experience with tasty inexpensive food, where the locals eat!

The you pull up to this place the smell of the smoked food makes you instantly hungry. Now if you want the best you'll have to wait this place is always packed. But it worth the wait. Stuff is friendly. Just know what you want when you get to the register. You will have time to look at the menu... More

While driving around looking for a place to eat, I searched for BBQ and came up with Tom Jenkins that was close by. We are from out of town on business and never heard of this place, but it was a delicious choice. We had the pulled pork sandwiches with fries and beans and everything was fresh and delicious.

After visiting once before, We made a second trip to Tom Jenkin's and I enjoyed it as much as the first. Food was very good as I ordered the Catfish and my party, ribs and chicken. First of all, the portions are very generous for the price, consisting of several sides as well. The Catfish was prepared with lots of... More

After being away from Ft Lauderdale for 8 years, one of the 1st things he wanted to do when we arrived for vacation was to go get ribs from Tom Jenkins. Though not as much of a rib fan as he is, I found them very tasty, well-cooked (not pink or red as some placed make them) and reasonably priced.... More

We were a large group that went there on a business trip. The place is very informal with picnic tables and no service at table. Not even plates :) (we ate on disposable plates). I get a promo of ribs and meat for $17, a good deal with corn on the cob. The ribs were nice but not spectacular, with... More

I travel quite often. I was born in NY and moved to Fort Lauderdale when I was 7. Tom Jenkins BBQ started as a one or 2 man grill off the side of the blvd and you would be able to smell it from miles away. You would quickly pull over, grab your order of ribs and leave. Cars were... More
