Not my mother's, but good Italian food!

The rolls brought out at the beginning were airy and fresh. The red sauce was good, not too sweet, not too acidic. Meatballs were as good or better than Mataronos. Pasta cooked perfectly.

We eat here each time we come down to Fort Lauderdale. The food has never been a disappointment. I enjoy the Veal or Eggplant parm or even the baked penne. Its hard to finish a meal as the portion sizes are huge, take that into consideration when ordering an appetizer or salad. You will have leftovers. Parking can sometimes be... More

Showed up with no reservation (they don't take reservations) and were seated immediately and while the waitress wasn't the friendliest person in the world, she was knowledgeable and friendly. My kids were both grumpy when we arrived but the food arrived quickly and it was beyond tasty. The waitress suggested a wine based on my request and it was delicious.... More

I stopped by here on a whim on a recent business trip. Man am I glad. The food was absolutely amazing. I had the blackened mahi special over an amazing risotto. The rolls were also great but the special was top notch. I'll definitely come back.

Hands down the best fried calamari in South Florida no other restaurant comes close. Delicate and tasty not chewy at all. Seafood anelli is amazing as is rigatoni with sausage and mushroom pasta. Fettuccine Alfredo is my father's favorite and we are from New York, and he often compares it to the best restaurants there. Service is usually pretty bad... More

Once again the chicken anelli that I dined on for lunch was delicious. I like the renovations that dress up the dining rooms. Service, as usual, was very good. I recommend this entrée.

People keep going, it's always busy when I drive by, so I thought it's time to pop in. Well..the service is great, place is a bit dark, but cosy. The food...we had a pizza..oven made tasted like plastic...had the cap research salad..no pesto and bit bland...garlic bread...a teaspoon of crushed garlic from a jar baked in the oven - yuk... We've been going to Il Mulino for years and it remains a lovely Italian restaurant with good food and reasonable prices. The pasta is homemade and don't miss the garlic rolls if you love garlic. Every dish we've tried there has been good.
