Description: The original Rustic Inn Fort Lauderdale crabhouse began as a roadhouse...
The original Rustic Inn Fort Lauderdale crabhouse began as a roadhouse saloon. As time went by, our hole-in-the-wall Ft Lauderdale crabhouse grew up, keeping with the demand for steamed crabs, seafood, linguini with homemade sauces and other popular dishes. Our World Famous Garlic Crabs are known the world over. We invite you and your family to see what the legend is all about. Enjoy waterfront dining on our dock or in our main dining room. Visit our cocktail lounge and enjoy one of our original frozen drinks.

Messy But Tasty

Expensive but worth it. Very casual place. Food was cooked to perfection. Great place to eat near the airport!

This was suggested by a Sheraton Hotel manager and I'm so glad. The atmosphere is quaint and a real seafood venue. They didn't wait in me for 15 minutes out next to the canal, so the manager bought my appetizers to make up for it. Nice customer care and great impression. The delay was due to the credit card machine... More

This seafood place is very good and the drinks are strong. It's on a waterfront so sit outside. The crab and fried shrimp was awesome. I highly recommend checking this place out.

My feedback is both positive and negative. Serving Staff is uncaring and inattentive. They take their time to get to you before taking your order and you do not see them until your food is out. We had to chase our server on 3 visits to get our bill. Several years ago, everything became a la carte. Salads are not... More

Totally meh. First -- we arrived at 10:10. Sign says closes at 10:45 so we had PLENTY of time but our waiter (JUSTIN) rushed the crap out of us to order. Not sure why -- two people ordered crabs which came almost instantly -- the salad coming after. Then---the waiter's prime method of speaking to us was as he was... More

My family and I went here the other day and despite the unexpected rain, the atmosphere was still awesome! We were traveling with a fourteen month year old that was teething five teeth and this place managed to keep her content the entire time; they even gave her a mallot! Our waiter was a younger guy with dark hair and... More

It can't get more rustic that that: long shared tables, plastic bibs and wooden mallets. But if You are looking for a place to eat Crabs in Fort Lauderdale, it is definitely a place to visit. Of course their menu includes much more. But the Crabs are their main attraction. And if You want a Crab Cracker, You'll have to... More

I Forgot to ask if they had a small size portion of the "Famous Garlic Crabs but they were absolutely delicious, the bowl was HUGE, we went mid day and it was calm, we had a very nice waitress, we ate outside and it has that great tropical feel. Surely put this restaurant on your agenda if you like seafood!

A family favorite for many years, we've always had a great meal and a fun time here. Be prepared for a noisy dining area with the crowd erupting in a cacophony of crab hammers pounding the tables whenever a special event is announced. The crab sampler is the draw for most but I love their fresh scallops either broiled or... More
