The original Rustic Inn Fort Lauderdale crabhouse began as a roadhouse saloon. As time went by, our hole-in-the-wall Ft Lauderdale crabhouse grew up, keeping with the demand for steamed crabs, seafood, linguini with homemade sauces and other popular dishes. Our World Famous Garlic Crabs are known the world over. We invite you and your family to see what the legend is all about. Enjoy waterfront dining on our dock or in our main dining room. Visit our cocktail lounge and enjoy one of our original frozen drinks.

Solid seafood house

Prepare to wear a bib and get elbow deep at the Rustic Inn. The shellfish is well done and you needn't worry about accidentally getting shell bits on the floor. Service was good, food was well prepared and came to the table hot and was reasonably priced. Pretty kid friendly too if you're into... read more

This is a loud and crazy place to eat. Come with a fun attitude and join in! Best on menu was jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab. Good value, lots of choices on the menu.

Pros: food, serving once seated is fast, parking plentiful, outside deck ambiance, and prices are good. Some times I order crabs to go. Go home. Steam them just a little to get them back hot, add old bay, and garlic. Prepare a side like corn in cob, bake potatoe, or rice. Cons: Addictive

Wasn't seated for over an hour due to the front desk not putting our name down. One person in our party didn't even eat 1/8 of his food, another never got her drink refilled, had to ask for tools to Crack my crabs, was never given a bib like everyone else that was eating crabs. So my husband confronted the manager... More

I have been to Rustic Inn quite a few times for CRABS. The best are the garlic crabs..served to you in a bowl with a bowl for shells and a hammer do whack them to open up to retrieve their wonderful meat. The restaurant is noisy, on the water (a canal) and the food simply amazing. Last time I was... More

Busy, landmark restaurant catering to locals and tourists. Big, busy, reasonable prices, incredible seafood especially crabs. Loud due to mallets banging crabs. A must go.

At the end of May, I visited the Rustic Inn with a friend of mine. I had read about it and all the great reviews so it was time to check it out for myself. The Rustic Inn is a half restaurant, half party barge on a canal not far from the Ft Lauderdale airport. You can choose (if possible)... More
