Fun place to eat, decent food

We thought the food was decent. My husband got the fried clams and they were huge but very rubbery and lacked flavor. The fish was good though as were the sides. It was a fun atmosphere and would go back but not for the clams!!!

We were in Ft Lauderdale before and after a cruise and we ate here both times. The food is delicious! Don't dress up because everyone just just roll up their sleeves and digs in! The swordfish was the best we have ever eaten but everyone comes for the great crab platters! Make room for the key lime pie. It will... More

This place is absolutely fantastic. The prices are very good for the amount of food you get. Service is excellent. The food was the best seafood I have had in a while. The crab and shrimp is garlic butter was to die for. The half rack of ribs were amazing. The Conch Fritter are the best I have had and... More

If its good seafood you want, this is the place.. The king crab legs was 1/2 a crab, and tasted like it just came out of the ocean. Hammers are at the table, and yes, you need bibs. Kids had an absolute blast cracking the garlic crabs. And yes, the garlic dungeness crabs are awesome. This isnt a daily or... More

Came here for lunch after arriving from airport. This is a very old style restaurant on a river/canal. There are some tables overlooking the river on a barge of sorts but most are inside the main building. Very dark, low ceiling kinda feel to it. What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up with in excellent food and plenty of... More

So i figured this place was absolutely gross and disgusting from the way it looked on the outside. I looked up reviews while i was staying at the Hilton garden inn around the corner form the restaurant! After reading reviews, i had to try it!!! I don't remember my waitress name but as soon as she seated my friend and... More

Went there as a group and it was fun. All at the table were happy with their food. The clam chowder was excellent. I also had the fried oysters and loved it! Tasty and abondant ; I could not eat them all! The mallets they provide to crack the crabs are also fun to play with when one lacks maturity!... More

I read all the raving reviews about Rustic Inn & the fact it was on the "water". In reality it is on a sad little canal with NO view. If they ask you to sit outside, say no. Not worth it. However, the food was wonderful & fresh. Get use to people using hammers for the crab.LOUD. Great mahi mahi.... More

We were in the mood for seafood on our recent trip and thought we would check this place out. It was so busy for a weeknight. And so loud. I was disappointed in the crab- I had better crab at Hooters the next night- for a 5th of the price. The food was fine- nothing to complain about, but nothing... More

Group of 11 with kids. Local hotel gave us the name and checked it our on TA and made our way there. A variety of crabs plates on the menu that are too much for 1 person. In the $40 range for the crab dinners but very large portions. I had grilled flounder that was a little overcooked. Stay with... More
