Crowded & Noisy, But Great Seafood

This has to be the most crowded, noisy seafood joint we've eaten in but the food was well worth the hunt for a parking space and the off-putting lines. There are multiple dining rooms in the rambling building and the wait time was surprisingly short; my companion had been called before I found a... read more

Rustic waterfront restaurant with excellent serice and crabs my favorite is the garlic crab. There is paper on the wooden tables and wooen malets for opening delicious crabs. Try to sit outside and don't wear clothes you can't wash becuase the butter garlic and crab will fly! Kids love this place. If you want fine dining and romance this is... More

For a slightly out of the way place, The Rustic Inn Crabhouse is a 'don't miss' location for a South Florida restaurant. Convenient from the airport and I-95; seafood lovers won't be disappointed. Dined here on a Wednesday night; and not sure what we would expect. The place was jammed, but they were efficient in getting people seated. As busy... More

Very casual seafood restaurant - we took our two grandsons for dinner on our November vacation and they enjoyed the delicious garlic crabs and had fun cracking them with the wood hammer that the restaurant provides. The food was good and we would go back there next time we are in the Fort Lauderdale area.

Be prepared to be amazed by the taste of these crabs. Of course you're going to need $50 or more depending on the season, but you will lick your fingers and maybe wake up in the middle of the night and lick them again. The place is like the name says, a bit rustic, but the taste is far from... More

Great place to be yourself. Casual, comfortable and fun. Great garlic crabs. Good food and service. Don't be in a hurry. Enjoy the outside seating and you can feed the fish too.

Between me and my husband we thought the food was average at best. We had a shrimp dish and the crabs and it was nothing to write home about. Their service absolutely horrilbe. It took forever to get drinks and the food. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

The place is large, and very very casual. Wooden tables, paper or vinyl cloths on tables wooden mallets to crack shellfish, sinks sprinkled around so you can wash your hands. It is a thoroughly authentic sea food destination. Quality of food I would rate 6 out of 10. Crowds can be very large on weekend nights, there is almost always... More

So it looks the same as it did thirty years ago, the name says it all. Its Rustic and Delicious. They made their reputation early on with their famous garlic crabs. Wow, wear the bib and dig in. Want to try a few different items? Their crab sampler is just the thing. One fact is certain, you won't leave hungry.... More
