Description: Market 17 is proud to be serving delicious, creative dishes that are literally from the farm right to the tables of our diners. We call this "wine country cuisine" because the emphasis is on fresh, clean food from top purveyors along with an abundant wine list. For the more adventurous diner, Market 17 offers 'dining in the dark'. It is our chefs table in a private room that allows a new way to experience food. Once your sight is turned off, all the other senses are heightened. It's a fun and unique experience to enjoy our food. (Due to limited seating, reservations for dining in the dark can be requested via open table notes but are not guaranteed. Please call 954.835.5507 to confirm dining in the dark reservation requests.) Our menu will change daily and we'll always offer amazing tasting menus for you to sample what the chef has created. Come and experience for yourself what all the buzz is about!

The restaurant is hidden on the bottom floor of an office building – was surprised how nice the interior looked – there was no one at the host stand when we arrived – someone came up and said “will be right back” 2 minutes later some else came up and said are you being helped – we said no, and... I took my boyfriend here for his birthday this past week, and both of us had never dined at Market 17 before. I'm so glad that this was available! My boyfriend absolutely loved it, and it was an amazing experience. They lead you into a small, dark room, and begin talking about the dinner before they turn the lights off.... More

The start of our recent dining experience here should have been a forewarning. This restaurant touts that its menu changes daily to take advantage of what is available from its many local suppliers, yet one of the appetizers that we ordered was sold out at 7:05 PM, although the dining room was 75% empty. How can this be? Two of... More

Exquisite menu, good (albeit expensive) wine list and friendly service. Definitely one of the best high level options in the Fort Lauderdale area

What a gem! Great presentation, great mouthwatering food, very imaginative! If you want to challenge your senses, try "dark dining" experience.

We were invited for dining In a dark for my friends birthday. After my last visit I never came here again, but I couldn't skip the birthday. Same story as before, prices high for a laughable amount of food. I can't be bewildered more by all the good reviews. Value is simply non existant. All the courses were minuscule. It's... More

On our way from the airport to our hotel in Fort Lauderdale we were hungry and passed by this restaurant. Farm fresh got my attention. The foods were very varied and interesting and tasty. We had 5 different dishes. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was quiet, peaceful and comfortable. I would recommend this place.

The ambience is great. Dining in the dark concept is great. Greg, the dark room host is excellent. The problem is the price to value ratio is poor. Very very expensive for what you get. Here's the deal, we got 4 courses. The first was a bowl of fruit that cost them all of $1; The last was a small... More
