Description: Market 17 is proud to be serving delicious, creative dishes that are literally from the farm right to the tables of our diners. We call this "wine country cuisine" because the emphasis is on fresh, clean food from top purveyors along with an abundant wine list. For the more adventurous diner, Market 17 offers 'dining in the dark'. It is our chefs table in a private room that allows a new way to experience food. Once your sight is turned off, all the other senses are heightened. It's a fun and unique experience to enjoy our food. (Due to limited seating, reservations for dining in the dark can be requested via open table notes but are not guaranteed. Please call 954.835.5507 to confirm dining in the dark reservation requests.) Our menu will change daily and we'll always offer amazing tasting menus for you to sample what the chef has created. Come and experience for yourself what all the buzz is about!

The food at this restaurant is excellent and not the same old same old. We experienced slow service; however, the manager talked to us about it prior to us inquiring as to the eta of our entrees. I would try this restaurant again because they did apologize for the delay. They offered us free desserts of which we did not... More

We did the Dining in the Dark experience and were the only two scheduled at our dinner time so we had the entire experience to ourselves. Absolutely amazing. The food is to die for... from the ceviche to the cheese course to the fish, and then duck, and then antelope, finally pork and last chocolate pate. Everything was amazing. I... More

This was our second visit to Market 17 and both times we have walked away delighted with our selections and service. We ordered a grass fed sirloin and duck breast. Both were outstanding! The sirloin melted in my mouth. Our waiter was knowledgeable and extremely accommodating with some minor changes we had to our dishes. I especially like that their... More

We were looking for a wonderful dining experience with good food, great ambience and great service. We found it! The food was awesome and the servers were knowledgeable. The wine steward approved of our wine selection, which made our night complete. Each employee was beyond kind. We enjoyed this experience and our meals. Since the dinner took longer than usual... My wife and I were in the mood for dining on delicious food in a classy ambiance, so we returned to Market 17. She ordered the snapper entrée. I went for the chicken breast dish. While we awaited our meals, our friendly waiter brought us bread with a spread of hummus and other ingredients. The spread was very tasty. The... More

Very delicious food from market to table. They have dining in the dark which we did not do, but I have heard from several friends that it is excellent. I had the best cocktail I ever had. It was a spicy pineapple margarita. I really have not head a better cocktail anywhere. It was delicious. The food was good as... More

I have travelled and dined all around but when I want to really treat myself I always go back to Market 17. This has to be the best restaurant I know. Everything is above standards and always beyond expectations. From the minute you walk in, the sleek decor is very tasteful and will suit every occasion from a romantic dinner,... More

After multiple visits to Market 17, I would give it a five-star recommendation with one exception. In our last few visits, the otherwise fabulous ambiance created by the wonderful food, service, and interior design was substantially degraded by the endless playlist of extremely loud and tasteless rock music dominated by shrill vocals and pounding drums that were completely incongruous with... Market 17 is a real fine dining experience in Ft Lauderdale. They emphasize fresh local food and design the menu around that. Very interesting dishes. Nice ambience and good service. They offer smaller "tasting" portions of the entries at lower prices, and we found that with an appetizer, the smaller dishes were a perfect size. It's not on the water,... More

This restaurant is exceptionally good, it is sophisticated and elegant, and I am not talking just about the ambiance. The food is delicious, fresh, innovative, just perfect. It is pricey and you do get more than what you pay for, BUT Happy Hour is indeed very happy. Appetizers and cocktails are 1/2 price and the cocktails are heavenly. Try one... More
