Description: Market 17 is proud to be serving delicious, creative dishes that are literally from the farm right to the tables of our diners. We call this "wine country cuisine" because the emphasis is on fresh, clean food from top purveyors along with an abundant wine list. For the more adventurous diner, Market 17 offers 'dining in the dark'. It is our chefs table in a private room that allows a new way to experience food. Once your sight is turned off, all the other senses are heightened. It's a fun and unique experience to enjoy our food. (Due to limited seating, reservations for dining in the dark can be requested via open table notes but are not guaranteed. Please call 954.835.5507 to confirm dining in the dark reservation requests.) Our menu will change daily and we'll always offer amazing tasting menus for you to sample what the chef has created. Come and experience for yourself what all the buzz is about!

My Fiance and I had the opportunity to attend the Market 17 Dining In The Dark. The event was fabulous and it's worth a look online. You are seated in a completely dark dining room, the servers wear night vision goggles so they can see but you can't. It's unbelievable for those of us who take our sight for granted.... More

Our favorite place in Fort Lauderdale, good food and service, a bit overpriced for what you get but there are not many better values in the area.

This place has the absolute best food. Great selection of wine and good ambience. We had a table for four and every dish was wonderful.

This is a fun place to eat! Market 17 prides itself on using locally sourced grass fed beef, pasture raised chicken, local pork, locally caught fish and local veggies. It shows in the quality and freshness of the food! We tried the tasting menu with wine. The food was outstanding and the chef did great job of pairing the wine... More

What an experience!!! So we dined in a private room in the dark and without utensils. Eight courses paired with wine. It was a hoot. Definitely not for everyone, it takes a good 10 minutes to get adjusted to the darkness and less not forget eating with your fingers. The food is excellent. Definitely an experience not to be missed.

Loved this place. Ignore the other negative comments and just go. We had a drink at the bar before being seated. We did the tasting menu and for $85 it is a great value. We did not do the wine pairing and instead picked a reasonably priced bottle ($75) from the great wine list. The food was all excellent. Wes,... More

We recently celebrated a family occasion at Market 17 and everything was excellent, from well crafted classical tropical cocktails, delicious mango/ fresh fish ceviche, wonderful breads, well prepared entrees including large key west shrimp, wahoo, cobia with farmer's market baby veggies, grains, and excellent desserts. Add in the fine and attentive service, and soothing and romantic atmosphere and Market 17 easily ranks... More

We had a wonderful meal at Market 17. Our mixed drinks really had alcohol in them, our salads were unique (the mango and pulled mozzarella was such a great taste combination), and our entrees of antelope and beef were out of this world. The waiter was perfectly attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you enjoy an inventive meal.

Farm to Table cuisine. I had two appetizers: the caprese salad with some arugula, strozzapreti (choke the priest) pasta with beef cheek appetizer. They were both spectacular the pasta with the beef cheek was simple, pasta was prepared al dente in a sauce that was very light but a lot of flavor. Served with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc.

I arrived early enough to beat any crowd that might develop. Some of the stools facing the bar were already occupied, mostly with the after-work folks enjoying happy hour. The remainder of the stools there would soon be taken by drinkers and diners. The bar seemed to be a people magnet. I opted to sit in one of the dining... More
