Trata Taverna

Trata is Greek, on Los Olas, with a beautiful restaurant, a good bar with comfortable chairs. I went with a couple of long time friends at Happy Hour 4pm. We ordered appetizers: Cold pikilla, grilled pita bread, Kassert cheese, feta, kalamata olives, sliced cucumber w/ oregano. Appetizers & drinks... read more

Great food, great wine, great service, great atmosphere. Nothing else to say, except that we'll be back any time we're in the area.

5/27/15 - as their menu states "in Greece, family meals are an occasion". I was accompanied by two dear friends celebrating my life of 60 years. We were greeted by Valentino who escorted us to a lovely table overlooking Las Olas Blvd. The appetizers were delicious which included Charbroiled Octopus with lemon sauce, oregano and fresh lemon. 2nd was Gigantes,... We have been to this restaurant 3 or 4 times now to meet with family. The service is always impeccable and the restaurant is clean. I just don't feel that the food can compare to other local Greek restaurants. On our most recent visit to Trata, I noticed that the Horiatiki salad was somewhat small and did not include green... Wonderful authentic Greek food! A little pricey but that's to be expected on Las Olas. Great service, fresh and tasty food!

5 stars for the best Greek Salad. 1 star for the Lamb kabob that had the chewiest lamb I have ever tried to eat. Three of us ate the vegetables and could not get the lamb down. NO STARS for dumb management. We were there early and had a nice quiet table for 4 enjoying the conversation. A very loud... More

It was my family's last day in Ft. La Di Da and we literally stumbled upon this gem on high marque Las Olas. Being raised in Greece, i am hyper critical of Greek Food...this Taverna did not disappoint...thick, dilled tzatziko, generous, flaky spanakopita and authentic Greek salad were awesome. well appointed wines including a bottle of Moschofilero we shared. Took... More

Three of us went for lunch and shared a large Greek salad ($11.95). It came with a nice wedge of feta along with chunks of tomatoes, cucumber and onion and a few olives. It was a nice starter. We each ordered the gyro pita which comes with fries. At $9.50 for the entree, it's one of the more reasonable places... More
