This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. We were not sure what to expect. When we arrive we were greeted by Mr. Gilbert and he was kind, gracious & positively enthusiastic about his restaurant. As we proceeded inside his lovely wife Mrs. Gilbert kingly explained the menu. The minestrone soup was AMAZING, the burgers were fabulous along with... More

The service at Gilbert's was great and the portions were large. I thought we were heading to a sit-down place and was a little disappointed at first when I saw the set-up, but quickly realized I had nothing to be upset about! The staff there brought our food right to the table and even got us refills from the fountain... More

The most memorable part of the experience was the warm greeting from the owner. When we walked in and had confused looks on our faces on where to order, etc, the owner greeted us, explained how everything worked, and went back to business. Food was good, portions were large. Service was great.

The place looks simple and the menu is mainly of burgers But this is definitely the place to have a great burger. The combinations are very tasty and the service is very friendly. Highly recommended.

The burgers were fantastic, I ordered a bacon , cheddar, amazing, fries were great too. Others in our group had salads and soups. You order your food up front and get a number, the wait was under five minutes , they food came exactly as it was ordered, mine rare, others well, all came out together. Beer was cold and... More

If you are going to charge over $25.00 for two burgers it better be outstanding. The burgers were just OK and I should have paid $10.00. The fries were average at best. I don't understand how people rate this place so high. Their are plenty of places just in Fort Lauderdale that have better burgers.

We just got back from vacation in Fort Lauderdale, and were happy to have found this restaurant! I had been searching one night for a casual restaurant with good food, and after seeing the reviews on trip advisor, we decided to give it a chance. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the owner, who handed us... More

This is a nice friendly place to eat. The food is awesome. You order at the counter and get your own drink. They do serve your meal to you and clear the dishes but you do not have a waiter. The food is pricey for a semi self serve. My spinach salad with grilled chicken was $13. Most sandwiches were... More

The steak was slightly on the expensive side at $30 and wasn't that great. If I was to try this place again I'd definitely stick to the burgers. They also don't have any type of steak sauce. What place doesn't have steak sauce?????
