Best tsating burger

We were taken their by family members during our visit to Ft. Lauderdale. You order and pay when you first come in. Large selection of burgers and other food. They are cooked to order. Portions are generous and lots of fries.

Our trip advisor research led us here when we were searching for a good burger. We found just that! One thing that wasn't exactly clear to us in the reviews....this is the kind of place where you wait in line and order your food at the counter. They give you a number, and from that point forward there is table... More

This place is family owned and excellent for its burgers! And you have to try the desserts. They are very friendly and make you feel like you've been going there for years.

We ordered the burger with fries and coleslaw. All of the food was fresh and tasty!!! They have other food items such as wings, soup, salad that everyone else was eating as well! Can't wait to try that next. The service is amazing. They are very attentive and refill your drinks, as well as bring your food and condiments to... More

At one time I was looking for the perfect burger and after a couple years I've found a crowd near the top.. this is one but still looking for numero uno. They use an 8 oz patty and good topping choices so they have a heads up over many others. Ordered medium and it was exactly right.. and stayed that... More

Met a friend for lunch. The place is not easy to find. Looks small on the outside but it's big on the inside. We sat outside since it was such a nice day. I would go back

This is the place to be!! It's the first time to a restaurant in 9 days that the staff knew we were from out of town where we were treated really nice by everyone! The owner to the server and cook! Awesome food! Brie burger was amazing! Both fries and coleslaw are delicious! The rocky road cookie is flakey, buttery... More

Instead of searching out a new place to grab a quick, but satisfying, lunch, we headed to Gilbert's -- hoping things hadn't changed in the 2 years since our last visit. I'm happy to report that the food and service were as good as ever! I'd definitely return.

This was our third visit to Gilbert's. Burgers are made to order cooked the way you want. Beer and wine available. Owner has been present on each of our visits and extremely friendly. Despite the many wonderful dining experiences in Fort Lauderdale we always plan a trip to have a burger at Gilbert's:)))
