This is one of Broward's Best Kept Secrets. We jumped into this quiet hotel bar/restaurant on the intracoastal waterway because we wanted to grab some appetizers….WOW, what a delight to find hummus with all kinds of fresh veggies…yes that would be the Mediterranean Delight…WOW again! In addition to this healthy version of bar snacks, one must always indulge in a... More

The restaurant has changed menu and a lot of staff. Good chef gone and the one that doesn't listen to clients stays. Let's hope he no longer talks about his wife for all to hear. I'm not sure the changes under hotel's new ownership have been improvements. Had some decent dishes before, now new grill menu unavailable. No room service... More

Last week I was invited for dinner at Da Campo Osteria, located within Hotel Il Lugano, Fort Lauderdale. I have eaten there a couple of times before and noticed that they had a new chef and menu. The menu card was too big but I understand that this was still "work in progress"! As we all (3) had a late... More

They had the audacity to close for an event on a Saturday night & not even bother to advise us at all. We had made reservations 3wks in advance for a special event for 7ppl. All they did was say "sorry". That's it?! No, let me help you get another resevation elsewhere or a comp for next time. Also we... More

I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance for a party of 7 for a family birthday celebration. When we arrived there was a private party and the manager told us they are closed. Furious is an understand. They apologized however the apology was completely worthless.

This used to be a great restaurant but I guess now that new ownership took over it has gone down the drain. We went Saturday night the place was empty it was just me and my husband so we sat at the bar. When we came in we were not even greeted I noticed the bartender was putting an order... More

I enjoyed the friendly staff. I stayed at Il Lugano for 4nights and they talked to me even when I wasn't dining with them. They had a new menu last week and the salmon and asparagus was fabulous! Try it! You can pull your boat right to their dock!!

New owners have completely ruined one of the best. I went on a Friday night, and a once busy restaurant was completely empty. The table side fresh pulled mozzarella no longer exists. A menu that once had things such as braised beef short rib ravioli, now has turkey burgers in its place. The once chic boutique hotel is now being branded... More
