Fabulous service at the bar by both Jen the bartenderess and the gentleman who replaced her when she moved elsewhere in the hotel to work a private event. We shared Delicious fresh-pulled mozzarella with prosciutto and figs...then one of the best carpaccios I have had...then a shared entree, the squid ink crab ravioli (not my favorite but I think it... My spouse and I are locals, and we wanted to try a restaurant we had not visited for our 10th anniversary. We found this restaurant via Yelp. The location is unassuming. I have lived in the Fort Lauderdale area my whole life and I had no idea this restaurant, much less the hotel in which it is located existed. It... More

I am a regular visitor of Fort Lauderdale and wanted to try something new. Number 3 on Tripadvisor was very promising. The location is not close to any of the hot spots in town so it was quite a drive. I made a reservation but when I entered the restaurant is was almost empty. Later I realized why only 3... More

You can tell this chef really loves creating wonderful food! The chef special is a must! Beef Medallions! The proscuitto pizza with carmelized onions, gorgonzola cheese and fig jam is delicious too! Next time we want to try the fresh pulled mozzarella. Great atmosphere and terrific staff! We loved the Simi Cabernet Sauvignon and they make special drinks too! I... More

We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant on our last night after reading and hearing such good reviews and weren't disappointed. We had a mozzarella starter which is worth experiencing as chef pulls/preps the mozzarella at your table. It was a lovely starter. We all ate different meals and really enjoyed them. Plenty to eat.

Chef Ray and Mark Confessore served up to die for dishes like short rib ravioli, veal and awesome lobster and other seafood dishes. All prepared, cooked and explained with a smile. The pulled mozzarella at table side was unbelievable. Summary..very much an experience in fine dining.

I have been to this restaurant many times but it was after meeting Chef Raymond on our last visit that prompted me to write a review. The love he has for cooking is evident in everything he prepares. If you go, be sure to order the pulled mozarella prepared at your table....its a one-of-a- kind delicious experience. The menu is... More

What an exceptional find!!! My husband and I have eaten at some of the most incredible places all over the world and have attended amazing wine pairing events and private chef dinners . We were staying at Il Lugano and thought we would try dinner at the hotel. Taken to table by wonderful hostess-waitress Giorgia soon appeared with menus and to take our orders. 4 of us decided to try the mussels and giant meatball for appetizers. Each dish was so tasteful, you wanted more. The specials were steak fillet and fresh whole... More
