Great food, service a little cold

Went here after visiting the Alligator Farm. Ordered several tacos and a burrito for me and the boys. The tongue was good, the stewed beef was ok, the tripe was good. If this had been my whole order, I might have put this place down as a 3...but then came the al pastor. It was amazing. Next... read more

What could be better than to have the closest restaurant to the entrance to the Everglades National Park? Better on-site signage for one. This small café, apparently an outpost of the larger restaurant by the same name located on Northeast Street in Homestead, could benefit greatly by better new signs. We nearly missed it as it looked like it was... More

We tried it today for lunch, what a find! It's true that it is not a fancy place, but the food was really tasty and quite cheap. Full of latinos,so it must be the real thing! We had a couple of beers, water,a tostada and a big plate of tacos,6, to share, and payed 28 $. The food was really tasty, super fresh ingredients, and the... More

Don't be put off by the appearance of this place. It looks like a stop-n-go at a gas station converted to a restuarant. But none of that will matter once you eat the food. Authentic, homemade Mexican that is just wonderful. There are maybe 8 tables and a lunch counter. When we walked in, there was a Mariachi band of... More

We asked some hotel staff where a good Mexican restaurant was and this was recommended to us. When we walked it, the two girls made eye contact, never said hello, never said anything. One got some menus and took us to a table. About 10 mins later she asked what we wanted to drink. We had been looking at the... More

If you want a family Mexican place this is worth the trip. 10 tables and a great salsa bar for the chips. The place looks like a gas station but the dining is authentic.

Second trip to Florida City in as many weeks, saw the reviews on TA and decided to check it out. We were pleasantly surprised. As frequent visitors to Mexico we found food as authentic as we have found in our travels in Mexico. Mexican style cheeses and crema and flavors that we experience in our travels traveling the countryside of... More

That place must be authentic as there were many Mexicans when we ate there. Food was good, but a bit too greasy and spicy. The service was so so, waitresses are not attentive at all. Well, you get what you pay :)

Ordered queso dip with chips and it came as a solid bowl of stringy white cheese - not dippable. The pollo burrito and enchiladas were ok but very bland, no seasoning. Never got the taco I ordered. No restrooms available except asking for a key from the gas station next door. Will not go back.

Stopped here on the way to the Everglades. It doesn't look like much from the road, but the food was really quick, tasty and inexpensive. The kids loved the salsa bar.
