I would say, probably more like a 3 1/2. I went to eat there expecting an amazing Mexican meal, based on reviews and the fact that everyone AND their mother has told me that THIS is the place for authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine. The service was super slow and, even though I am fluent in Spanish (which was my... More

Family-owned, no atmosphere but very tasty. Great all you can eat homemade salsa and homemade chips. Cheap!

The food here is consistently good and inexpensive. My wife really likes it and we come fairly often. She usually gets the tacos which are very traditional and served like when we visit Mexico. I usually try different things and have always left satisfied. The service is pretty good and we never really have to wait around for a table.... More

Rosita's is a small local Mexican restaurant in Florida City. It's not a fancy chain store. It feels like a small family place. It seems to have a strong local following. The chimichangas that I had were good and the service was good. If you want to get away from the chain restaurants, Rosita's is a good place to try.

Being an expert on Mexican Cuisine, I highly recommend sopes with pollo, not the bigger dishes; not very authentic and too expensive. The place has a depressing atmosphere; not even one opening and horrible furniture and kitch wall paintings.

After reading rave reviews of this place, I finally made it a point to go. I don't care what the decor is like if the food is reallly good. I found the decor pretty awful and the food so-so. I had high expectations and nothing about this place were up to them. Food was, to me, average to below average... More

The interior is scruffy, with cheap furniture that needs replacing. We also felt that the place needed a good clean. Our waitress did her best, but looked very tired at the end of what was probably a long day for her. The food was OK, nothing more. We will not return.

The sign on the door says they close at 9pm. That doesn't mean last seating at 9pm... It means everyone out by 9pm. They lock the doors to new customers well before 9. The menu is in Spanish and English. We had a hard time following the translations. They offer combo plates but no pricing was listed. Food was okay.... More

I can't even described the goodness of this food. WOOWW. service was okay but the food is unbelievably authentic and GREAT. Not extremely expensive either.
