This is absolutely one of the breakfast places on the weekends. Best part they serve until 11:00. Staff of nice, they are usually pretty quick and the view is nice too.

Service was terrible. Food was only so-so and it came out of the kitchen to tables that were seated after our party. Had to beg for my check.

We were a little nervous at first when we asked our waitress (cute as could be), "what's your favorite food on the menu?" And she said, "sorry, I have never eaten here!" Oops! That said, everything we ordered was delicious. Whew! The she-crab soup was great (has a slight kick). Get the cup, unless your hungry!! The coconut shrimp was... More

Food like Grandma used to make! I had the meatloaf with tomato sauce - excellent. My husband had the she-crab soup, had a bit of spice to it and he said it was delicious. He also had the T-Bone meal, tons of food! Don't forget to order onion rings, they are the best. There is outdoor dining too, overlooking the... More

Ate here over Labor day weekend. this is part of a small chain but is the original location. Upon entering I realized I had been there several yrs ago. I had half and half consisting of their excellent crab cake and 6 coconut shrimp. My wife just had one crab cakes. My iced tea was a huge 32oz glass. The... More

This restaurant serves very good food and the atmosphere is excellent. Tables both inside and outside overlook the marsh and out to the intercoastal waterway. The service was prompt and friendly and the food was delicious!

We had dinner there. After reading all the mixed reviews we decide to try it while visiting Amelia Island. We ordered the crab cakes (5 oz and 7 oz) and a bowl of she crab soup. We loved both of them and we are from New Orleans. The soup was wonderful with lots of crab meat. The crab cakes some... More

Barbara Jean's is supposed to be a place you can go to time after time nod get the same great food. It's not quite like that today! My husband and I went in on Saturday night and even though there were lots of empty perimeter tables, they stuck us right next to two huge groups. The food was not as... More

I was in the area attending a funeral and had several tables of family members there for lunch as we needed to be at the cemetery in mid afternoon. The server took great pains in getting our food out and in the middle of it all was still pleasant. I ordered the crab cakes that advertised with no filling but... More
