We enjoy this quirky little place. It has a "New York" vibe to it with the black and white theme. Sitting back near the kitchen area (table for 6) is really nice because you get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the place (and you get to see all the dishes). There is also outside seating if the... more

The menu is different than typical tourist town favorites. Sure they have shrimp and grits, fish tacos, etc., but they prepare everything with the freshest organic materials available and you can most definately taste the difference. My guests salad was a festival of mixed greens that all seemed to have come off the stem that morning. My corn soup was... more

We went for lunch and the food was great. I had the grouper sandwich and it was wonderful (don't miss rosemary garlic fries!) more

The place is extremely cute and it has pretty good food! The food here is unique. I've never eaten at a place quite like it before. It is clean, the atmosphere is good, the service is fabulous, and the food taste delicious! more

My husband and came to Amelia Island for our 5 year anniversary and were told we must eat here. We definitely were not disappointed. This restaurant is quaint and located in the heart of downtown. I recommend making a reservation to eat outside because there is nothing more romantic than feeling the breeze and seeing and hearing horse drawn carriages... more

We had a lovely dinner. The pork chop was prepared perfectly. The flourless chocolate cake was wonderful. The atmosphere was upscale but very relaxed. I would highly recommend 29 South more

Had dinner there last week & would return for sure. Started w/ the grilled romaine & then the kobe burger for my entree. Food tasted fresh & menu had some creative choices. Also, enjoyed the variety of wines by the glass. Service was excellent too. My only negative point is the tables are close together so it can be noisy... more

I went to 29 South in hopes of getting a great meal. I read all the reviews and was very excited about the meal. I started with the BBQ spring rolls which were very nice and would order them again, but the the lobster corn dog was a complete failure. There was no seasoning at all and the lobster was... more

Had lunch here (July '09). Passed this place while walking around the night before. Noticed the herb garden in back. To me, that is always an indication of good food. Probably some of the best crab cakes I have had in years. My friend had the eggplant parmesian & it was incredible. Wish they had herbal, decaf ice tea but... more

the lobster corn dog was fantastic. lots of creative dishes, but everything sounded delicious and approachable. we tried halibut in curry, kobe beef burger, fish tacos, mussels... one word of warning--the food is really rich! i got the southern cobb entree salad, which had a whole mess of bbq berkshire pork, which was really tender and delicious. the pizza was... more
