Consistently Delicious Seafood

Love the oysters! Cedar River is always the place to go! I sometimes stop by just for baked potatoes and cole slaw to go. Very casual atmosphere

We were looking for a place to eat after not being able to find parking at our other choice. There is lots of parking and it is only a block from the beach. It is a casual place with waitress service the service was friendly and very quick. Their servings are large with lots of choices. If I was to... More

Stopped by for a soup and salad for supper after a big lunch earlier in the day. the service was timely and friendly. An average casual restaurant with a variety of items on the menu, but mostly fried food. We prefer steamed or grilled fish and it appeared most people in the restaurant had the all-you-can-eat fried shrimp and fish.... More

We ate here quite a bit, around 8 times during our stay at Ft. Clinch in Fernandina Beach. The ambiance is family, not fancy. The seafood (we tried the oysters, shrimp and flounder platters) was cooked to perfection and plentiful. I often took home leftovers. The sides, especially the okra with tomatoes, lima beans, and cole slaw were delicious. The... More

The food was ok, I have had better. The service was awful!!! It took about 40 min. To get our food, and the waitress never brought any refills on our drinks, even after we asked!!!

Food was plentiful and competently prepared. it is simple tasty fare and the sides are both plentiful and well done. I enjoyed the shrimp and devilled crab. Our server was so good she really made the evening. This is excellent value for money. You could pay a lot more for food that is no better than this.

Four of us dined here today just after noon. All had combos of different makeup. The shrimp and oysters I had were fried perfectly. Many times better for less money than same thing in St. Mary's. My wife had the blackened fish and shrimp. Again delicious. The other couple had fish and shrimp and fish and oysters. All perfectly prepared.... More

We went here for dinner after recommendations from a few different folks. It wasn't busy on a cool, windy Sunday evening so we were seated immediately. My husband and I shared the "Cedar River Trio" with shrimp, clam strips and deviled crab. We loved the deviled crab. The shrimp, clams and hush puppies were nothing special, lightly breaded and deep... More

We happened to visit Cedar River when they were overwhelmed with customers. Their all you can eat meals are a big draw and the crowds were there. There were only two servers working, and they tried hard to keep up. One was actually running from table to kitchen. We waited over 30 minutes for our meals but understood why. The... More
