Deceiving Looks = Great Food

Dining at an old gas station? You got to be kidding...... Referred to us by locals, we found T Rays a bit out of the ordinary for appearance and low overhead amenities. You order at the counter and then obtain your utensils and if lucky, you find a seat. Tables are from the 50s and 60s as they... read more

Always a busy place so be prepared - it's worth the wait. Pick up a menu at the door and order at the counter. We ordered "Trey's Favorite" which includes two of the following; pancakes, bacon & eggs for $5.99. The orange juice is fresh squeezed. The portions are plentiful and prices reflect the casualness of this restaurant. There seemed... More

4 College students and Fernandina residents: You hear a lot of hype about this place growing up. As young students or not wanting to make your own homemade breakfast T-Ray's is the place to go. The place is always packed so expect at least a minimum wait and be sure to get there before 1:30. If you get to the... More

White tablecloths? No Suave waiters in white jackets? No Best fried shrimp you will ever eat? Absolutely! This is a great little restaurant. It is in a repurposed old gas station near downtown Fernandina. It serves classic north Florida fried seafood, burgers, and similar lunch time fare. Orders are placed at a counter, and food is brought to your table,... More

Had lunch today with friends. Atmosphere is perfect for me: old gas station converted to a restaurant. No table clothes. But I do have a problem with this place. They have too many good things to eat. I ordered fried shrimp which were excellent. Problem is they also had fried chicken as a lunch special and that came with collards.... More

Love the burgers and fries and fried green tomatoes and the people watching. The drawback is you stand in line to order. However, there is so much memorabilia and such on the walls it's very entertaining. Parking is a little bit of a hassle but you have to come to T Ray's laid back!

Finally had the opportunity to stop by this place after living here for months! So very glad we did! Ordered the biscuits and gravy. Yummy. So creamy and the biscuits were fantastic! Hubby got the T Ray Breakfast of eggs, bacon, & pancakes. Those pancakes were delicious, and so was their bacon. Sat at the bar on stools near where... More

This place is awesome. Family run, reasonably priced, and where the locals hang out. I had a burger (I couldn't not) and it was one of the best I've had in ages. My other half amused himself playing a real Ms Packman arcade game - I haven't seen one of those in a while, and still only a quarter. I... More

Popped in here for breakfast and had trouble finding parking it was so crowded. That doesn't deter us as we figured this many people at an old gas station for breakfast, it must be great. Well it was. They move fast and the locals seem to know to eat and then go talk some place else so others can get... More

Sorry to say, the Fried Fish Sandwich is terrible raw and gross for lack of a better word. Husband would not send it back because he would have been embarrassed. Oh Well. We will not be going back. Tasted like boxed onion rings. Place looks dirty to me. Dirty Dishes over spilling at the trash. Empty drink cans outside. Everyone... More
