a bit of Fernandina history

the place is an institution and it seems folks either love it or hate it. I have always had a really good meal there so I hope you do too

I was referred here by a local. Food was good with big portions. My husband and I were both full for less than $20. Kitschy atmosphere, clean bathrooms outside around the corner, as you'd expect from ann old gas station! Pumps still in tact.

I was told this was the place to go from a local. Lucky for me, I got there before they closed and soft shell crab was on the specials board. This place is a must stop!

Don't be put off by the look of the place. Used to be a gas station, but the fun of the place is still high octane. Breakfast is amazing (don't tell your cardiologist) and the burgers may very well be the best on the planet.

Primarily a hamburg joint. No ambiance but what do you expect for a gas station. They had some fun stuff on the walls and it was busy. The food was good but get the larger burger. Mine got lot in the bun.

We got takeout from this place because we didn't want to leave the beach. Everyone got the shrimp basket, and it was delicious. The shrimp were nice sized, lightly battered, and perfectly cooked. It came with fries and slaw. Every bit of it was great. We didn't get to try it, but I hear they have great biscuits as well.... More

The portions are huge which is always a winner to me but the only thing that wowed me was a Shrimp salad sandwich my son ordered. The food was good not great. The seating was limited but they were very busy also. Overall good dining experience.

Soggy fries. I had the shrimp roll and it was overwhelmed with mayo. Service was average to poor. You might skip this one.

My father-in-law had owned a service station and my husband was amazed at how this service station was turned into a burger station. We stopped by for breakfast and it was wonderful. We placed our order at the counter, got our own coffee & sat down. Our food was quickly delivered to our table. I had an egg over-easy just... More
