Mix Florida with a southern pride and a dash of Culinary Art...bingo !

Breakfast: we found a crazy decor in an old gas station but WOW our breakfast was the best in years. Grits are terrific, fresh Biscuits from oven served warm, heck a five star hotel doesn't do that. We heard about T-Rays, that they had the best burgers on the island and that it was popular with the locals (which almost always means it is the best). We went for lunch one day and thankfully got there early because it filled up fast and there was a line almost out the door! The burgers were large and fabulous!... More

We have been to Fernandina many times and had heard this was a good hamburger joint. It was a fun place to eat. It was packed and burgers were good. You order from the counter and found a table. French fries were good also. Service was fairly quick. There were a lot of two person tables and a few larger.... More

T-rays has a great breakfast, and a great lunch burger. Make sure you keep in mind that they close for about an hour in between breakfast and lunch. A great place for locals and tourists alike!

This is a great hole-in-the-wall classic. I have gone there for breakfast a few times and the lines (sometimes) are a testament to how great the food is. Honestly, nothing super healthy, but that isn't why one goes. It is good down home cookin' and the atmosphere is great. There is both inside and outside (covered) seating. The outside seating... The biscuits an gravy, bacon an english muffin we had was very good. Biscuits were crisp on the bottom even when covered with gravy. Seems to be a popular place for the... More

Very tasty hamburgers, but this is not just a 'burger joint'! Each day they have wonderful specials and you'll have to get there early (they close early each afternoon). The service was just fair (although admittedly it was VERY BUSY), but the food was very good and worth the stop. It's located in a former gas station approximately 3 blocks... More

Only open for Breakfast and Lunch...stops serving at 2:30, so don't wait too late. Good food, Daily Specials are best value. Don't dress up but do go.

Dining at an old gas station? You got to be kidding...... Referred to us by locals, we found T Rays a bit out of the ordinary for appearance and low overhead amenities. You order at the counter and then obtain your utensils and if lucky, you find a seat. Tables are from the 50s and 60s as they are chrome... More

Always a busy place so be prepared - it's worth the wait. Pick up a menu at the door and order at the counter. We ordered "Trey's Favorite" which includes two of the following; pancakes, bacon & eggs for $5.99. The orange juice is fresh squeezed. The portions are plentiful and prices reflect the casualness of this restaurant. There seemed... More
