Whole Snapper was excellent

I visit the Karibo/Karibrew on a regular basis and have never had a bad experience. On a recent trip I had the whole snapper, it was excellent. Not a normal presentation for NE Florida, The chef came out to instruct us on how to eat the fish with our hands and provided a bowl with lemons and water... read more

Upon the recommendation of a friend, my family (wife, two elementary-age children) and I had dinner at Cafe Karibo for the first time this past weekend. The attentive staff, laid back atmosphere, excellent menu items quickly made this our new "go to" place in Fernandina. My wife and I remarked several times that Cafe Karibo reminded us of Tallahassee's Kool... More

This is unusual for us, but in a one week visit, we went to Cafe Karibo three times!! We stopped by late in the afternoon just for a glass of wine (I know it is a brewery, but we don't like beer much.) and some munchies, went back later in the week for lunch and then went back for dinner.... More

A friend recommended Keribrew for dinner. Oooops. We ended up at Cafe Karibo accidentally. What a delight. The food is outstanding. The atmosphere is unique and the prices are reasonable. We will be back.

My all time favorite restaurant on the Island, we have been coming for per 14 years to Karibo. I love it and remember the first time I ever ate here. I have probably come over 100 times and it never lets me down. The Loaded Lentil Salad is my favorite item on the menu

The is a spacious but quiet restaurant just slightly off the (very) worn track of Fernandina Beach. We have never had a dinner there that didn't wow us. The seafood platter was to die for and we relished the leftovers. Reasonably priced and a great value. Not a single water view to be seen but the food is well worth... More

Dinner on a rainy summer evening we were able to beat the crowds and were seated promptly. Our orders were the butternut squash and mushroom soup, the Cuban sandwich, spring rolls, turkey melt and salmon wrap. All were very good and presented nicely. The soup was in a small cup that would have been nicer if a little larger. The... More

Cafe Karibo was our favorite place on Amelia Island. We just happened to speak with a local who highly recommended this restaurant and we were very happy that we tried. The food was interesting and fresh, and the service better than most places. We really enjoyed sitting outside and eating with a friendly staff. TIP: Do not wait too long... More

My husband set up dinner reservations for a party of 10. They had our table ready and we were quickly seated. However, much to our surprise, they were not offering their dinner menu until 5:30 while our dinner reservation was at 5:00pm. We were on a time crunch because we had a boat ride planned at 7:30pm. With the delay... More

Had lunch here our first day in the area. Did the Cesar salad and lentil & chickpea salad. Was very tasty and good amount for the price. Also tried one if their brewed beers and it was good. Would definitely recommend.
