Quaint little house dining is someone's dining room

One of my favorite Amelia restaurants! This quaint, little, yellow house is in the downtown district of Fernandina, about a block from the waterfront. The owner was actually trained in France. The Vichyssoise when available is to die for. This venue affords an intimate backdrop for a special... read more

One of my favorite Amelia restaurants! This quaint, little, yellow house is in the downtown district of Fernandina, about a block from the waterfront. The owner was actually trained in France. The Vichyssoise when available is to die for. This venue affords an intimate backdrop for a special, romantic dining experience. Save your money from the Ritz...better food and better... More

This restaurant is set in an old, charming home, converted to a small restaurant. French cuisine, but not pretentious, fresh, innovative & creative menu

My husband and I had dinner at Le Clos for the first time last night and were quite impressed. I had choices from the tasting menu for restaurant week (fish croquettes, chicken breast, pot de creme), he had a Caesar salad and ahi tuna. We shared a fabulous bottle of Provence rosé. Having just been to Provence in October, we... More

We had dinner there earlier this week while on vacation, and are booking dinner there next week before leaving. The atmosphere was warm and charming; the staff was terrific--friendly, attentive, very professional--and the food was to die for. One of us had grouper, delicious. I had a pasta/garden vegetable herb entree, fabulous. First courses of soup and salad were perfect.... More

Four of us decided to check out Le Clos on restaurant week. The fixed price 3 course was just varied enough for us. A request to have accommodate a change in the preparation of the salmon was kindly granted. We tried the chicken breast, roast pork, and the salmon prepared both ways. All entrees were very good. The appetizer potato... More

My husband and I had dinner at Le Clos after reading reviews of the various restaurants in Amelia. All the reviews were great. We had read one complaint about the decor but found it very charming and much as we would picture a French bistro anywhere. The restaurant is very small, so reservations are recommended. We share all our meals... More

We went on our host's recommendation and he was right on the money. My husband had the meatloaf, our host's recommendation, and he very much enjoyed it. I had the shrimp and loved it. As an appetizer we had the escargot which was very delightful.

Le Clos is a wonderful small French bistro (complete with a Cordon Bleu and Ritz Hotel trained chef) with excellent food, friendly service and a nice but casual atmosphere, set in a cozy cottage in historic downtown Fernandina Beach. We started with a pan fried fish cake over wilted spinach (the night's appetizer special) and the Salade Le Clos (mixed... More

The service was excellent. The food was very delicious and well presented. The options on the wine list were well represented, but there could be more "by-the-glass" options - the glass pour though was ample enough for the price. The dining area is small and cozy, but the tables are a little too close for comfort in order to have... More

It had been a while since our last visit, not sure why, but we won't wait so long next time. We like everything about the restaurant. It's a bit cozy inside, but very nice. The staff is excellent. Cathy and I both had seafood. She had grouper and I had tuna. Both were delicious. Our friends had meat, she had... More
