Accommodated wish & great evening from there

My Wife and I stayed in Amelia for probably the most busy restaurant evening of the year (Valentine's). We had reservations somewhere else. However my Wife loves French food. We were seated and were immediately brought slices of an excellent crusty bread. I ordered the scallops which came with linguine and spinach. There were four huge scallops atop sautéed spinach surrounding an excellent bed of linguine. My husband had the steak with pomme frites and vegetables. Wonderful dinner and service.

This restaurant had become a family favorite and we made a reservation during concourse weekend. It is a busy time of year but the ambiance, impeccable service and phenomenal weather overshadowed an anticipated wait. Food was fresh and delicious as always, hoping to back down soon for my birthday!

The food here is truly excellent and the service was wonderful. It is right across the street from the Hampton Inn so it is also really convenient to those who elect to stay there. The restaurant is small and can be quite noisy if there is a crowd. I would imagine that there is a crowd most every eving because... More

We were in Fernandina Beach on business on perhaps the busiest weekend of the year. We had a very difficult time getting reservations for Friday night dinner, but our lodge helped us get a 9:15 pm reservation at Le Clos. We decided to drive downtown, park and walk around the shops to kill time waiting for our reservation time. We... More

Don't let the exterior of this sweet little house fool you - there is serious French cooking coing on inside and a serious wine list as well. It's tiny, a bit noisy and you'll want to try for a reservation several days ahead! The atmosphere is "all French" with "daily specials" of entrees and wines written on large chalk boards... More

This is a very popular restaurant with both locals and visitors. However it should be noted that it is very very small with many tables crowded together ....therefore forget hearing soft strains of Billie or Ella while sipping a (very expensive ) glass of merlot . The noise level is deafening....no dinner conversation is possible. one of our party was... More

Le Clos opened in the late 90's and it is the best place in MANY miles for Provençal food. Their nightly special is always a good choice, but their lamb shank is spectacular. The service is always good and the wine list has choices to complement every meal. When it first opened, it was across the street from an empty... More

My wife had the duck, and she was thrilled - best she has had on the island. Great service. Wine selection was excellent. We didn't have reservations, but they gracefully accommodated us. The place was full within 20mins of our seating. Great date night, but make reservations ahead of time.
