We had dinner here two nites un a row. It's a complete dining experience that is a ton of fun. It is elegant, the service couldn't be better and the food is incredible.

Laid back ambience. Wines complemented the food well. We ate tapas in the main room near lots of friendly Georgia Bulldogs all decked out in their bright red. They were a nice, mannerly group even after their stunning "big game" loss.

We came here for the tapas and enjoyed a nice dinner. The tapas selection was not very extensive. Very conservative choices, but well executed. We started with two appetizer salads, which we liked. Tapas included escargot in tomato cream sauce (very good), portobello mushrooms (fine), gambas costa brava (perfectly spicy and garlicky), and chorizo and onions (nice). Finished it off... More

My friends and I recently ate at Espana in Fernandina Beach. The charming downtown area is very attractive and there are many shops and restaurants to choose from. The main items and specialties on the menu featured shell fish. Alas, I am allergic to shell fish, so I was unable to sample any of the things the restaurant is best... More

This is a wonderful restaurant. We ate outside and had the fish of the day and Paella. the best Paella outside of Spain that we have had in a Spanish Rest. The service was excellent and the wine selection was good for a small restaurant. The meal was so good there we cancelled our other reservations for the following nights... More

My husband and I went here for our 15th wedding anniversary. It's a beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere. He had seafood paella and I had an assortment of tapas and everything was delicious!

My husband and I went there to celebrate our anniversary (by referral) and we really enjoyed the food. We had the spicy snapper, cilantro scallops and garlic shrimp. Small cozy restaurant off the main street. We went back a second night before we left Amelia Island. Cute place and is only open for dinner.

We picked Espana for dinner during the weekend of the Florida-Georgia football game in nearby Jacksonville. Fernandina Beach is where all the Georgia fans congregate. As a result, restaurants were busy and hotels were full. At 6:30 on a Friday night, Espana could only accomodate us at the bar (it consists of 4 stools). We had great recommendations and selected... We visited twice - on the day we arrived for tapas, and on our last night for the paella. The food is great, very close to authentic Spanish quinine, and the service was very good.

If you don't mind spending a few extra bucks, Espana has great food. A full menu offers a plentiful selection of choices for even the pickiest of palates. The big might sting a bit, though, so go prepared.
