Since my family wanted barbeque and I wanted a vegetarian choice, we were fortunate to find the Happy Tomato, which has a small walk-in area to place your order at a counter, with the majority of the seating in a quaint courtyard setting. As it was too hot and buggy for us that day, we opted for the limited indoor... More

We eat here every year that we come to Ameilia. The food is always fantastic and the service is excellent! It is a must for anyone who goes to Fernandina.

We stopped here after a full day of shopping. The food was terrific, especially the BBQ pork sandwich. I tried both the sweet and spicy sauces and they were both delicious. Don't leave Fernandina without a stop here.

The Max was a huge bbq sandwich with pimento cheese and your choice of sauce, which is what I ordered and my wife ordered the chicken fruit salad. The food was delicious and plenty of it. With large drinks we got out for $21.

Great BBQ! Mix the sweet and spicy sauces together and you get the perfect topping for their pork BBQ. The sandwiches are huge!

The food was very good, it was great to still be outside, but in the shade. Service was also good with happy and attentive staff. It was also a good value with a good variety on the menu to choose from.

Love this place. It's always been one of my favorites. The pulled pork is the best you will ever find! Add some pimento cheese on top and you have a tasty treat. The ribs are amazing as well: so much flavor they don't even need a sauce. Great atmosphere and delicious dining!

During a trip from Orlando I came across this little place the heart of beautiful downtown Fernandina .attracted by the smell of BBQ I entered and decided on the smoked turkey, simply put it was the most delicious turkey I have ever had. After that I made it a point to go back and sample other items. The ribs were... More

Being from the South you become a snob of good BBQ. I am always skeptical and a good BBQ place has to prove to me that they can deliver and the Happy Tomato did just that. The ribs and pulled pork are juicy and full of flavor. The sides are to die for and the service is excellent. I have... More

First, let me begin by saying that I do not eat meat. So why would I choose a place that specializes in BBQ? My family are big fans of BBQ and I was happy to see vegetarian/vegan options on their menu. I ordered the tofu wrap which was good. It was a cold wrap, which I think I would do... More
