Known for the barbeque sandwiches, I love the trio salad; pimento, chicken, & tuna. Order in & sit out on the patio/garden to eat.

Nice little BBQ place tucked behind a building downtown Fernandina Beach. Mostly outdoor seating so go when the weather is good. The outdoor area is comfortable, shaded, and pleasant. My pulled pork plate was very good. My wife's turkey was good as well, but a little dry. The portions were very generous so you won't go away hungry.

All four of us had the pulled-pork platters and enjoyed the quality- It is a small cafeteria-style café where you place your order and go to any available table in an open courtyard filled w/ trees/flowers- They then bring your meal to you- Would definitely go back for lunch

The half chicken and pulled pork platters were excellent, and the portions were more than ample. Most of the seating is outside, but on an unseasonably cold January day, we were able to get a couple of the eight seats which are inside. It is not a fancy place, but that just adds to the atmosphere. One of the staff... More

Delicious barbecue done right! Hidden in a cute courtyard in downtown. Has a fun "secret garden" feel if you stay for the outdoor seating.

Stopped for a quick lunch and had a great bbq sandwich. Overstuffed and needed two hands to pick it up. Nice outdoor seating. Good selection of neers.

We've been eating at the Happy Tomato for years. It is very good. The sandwiches are big enough to share. I really like their roast beef or chicken salad with a side of Cole slaw. The cookies are quite tasty too. And don't forget a sweet or unsweetened tea. Yum!

Arrived a 1:40 for a late lunch thinking most had already eaten but was I wrong. A line was still inside. Took my place in line and grabbed a menu from the front register area. Wife went to find a seat on the outside patio area. Finally got to the register to place my order. Requested a BLT for the... More
