Best meal of the trip

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Omni for a business/not so business trip. We ate as several great restaurants but this was our favorite! The food was awesome, service was mediocre and there was a musky smell to the place. We were seated inside. In between courses we asked if there was a patio for... read more

PLaE (People laughing and eating) is our new favorite place to eat on Amelia Island. It has a warm, welcoming but sophisticated ambience. Heather was one of the most helpful and enjoyable waiters we have had in a long time. The menu is a unique blend of American, Asian, Mediterranean with a little bit of southern thrown in. I had... While there are many fabulous restaurants in the island, whenever we stay in the Planation/Ritz area we always dine at Plae. Worth the price tag, a great dining experience. On our last visit, we were shocked to see how empty the dining room was on Memorial Day Weekend. Nonetheless, the food was AMAZING, service was EXCEPTIONAL, and we are dying... More

This place is by far one of my favorites! My husband and I had dinner there while staying at the Omni. We happen to be there on a night that a storm came thru and power was lost for about 2 hours. After the power was restored we ventured to see if they would serve us dinner. The service was... More

Not as crowded as it should be. Was recommended to us, because it was not an obvious choice on the Resort materials. Good food and service. May not benefit from the Resort, as in-house services in conference dining rooms may be hurting their business.

Visited this place before and enjoy the atmosphere and service generally. This time they were just completely off. Our server took forever to even take our drink order. She remained unattentive throughout dinner. To me, when you pay this much, service should be top notch and it wasn't. Ordered Calamari as appetizer, very greasy and mealy - almost like it... More

My wife and I had dinner here last week while staying at the Omni Plantation. It is located right on the property not far from the hotel which is nice. Our first impression was not that great as the restaurant is a bit dark and has a strange smell when you enter. The food however was fantastic. I had duck... More

Wow...this is truly a gem on Amelia island that you don't want to miss! The ambiance is beautiful & the food was fabulous. I shared my list of allergies with the server & she told me that it was not a problem. We had fried oysters, beet salad, lamb, & seared sea scallops. Everything was presented beautifully & cooked to... More

We used to love this restaurant, but have been disappointed with our experience the last three times we have dined there. First, the atmosphere is fun and playful...especially the outdoor deck complete with sculptures of animals chasing one another up a tree limb. The prices have always been a bit high, but the atmosphere (in our minds, at least) compensated... More

Nice restaurant, had very good food (some basic dishes with the cook's individual flair) at Ok prices and good service.
