Repeat visit. Enjoyed outdoor dining (a little humid!). Very professional/accomodating staff. Food is wonderful - I had some seafood/pasta dish that was fabulous; my husband had one of the specials - a salmon dish that was really great! more

It's worth it to sit outside at Joe's. The service was outstanding! We ate here after a few days of heavy eating. The food is really good, and we loved the bread with herbs. It's on the pricey side but a good pick if you want a nice dinner. more

Great experience from start to finish. Reservation was honored on time. Dwayne, our waiter, was superb. Very conscientious staff, great wine list and awesome bread. I had the Bistro salad which was delicious. The special, Halibut Francaise, was the best I had anywhere, including abroad, and I informed the staff and chef before leaving. The apple bread pudding was a... more

Based on reviews and our concierge's recommendation, we expected better. The gumbo was excellent but the rest of the meal was average. An entree of grilled grouper in corn husk was way overcooked. Restaurant was crowded with happy-looking people, but we thought it was a bit on the tacky side. Did have a reasonably priced wine list. Will not return. more

We spent a long weekend (9/19 to 9/21) in the historic area of Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach to celebrate our first anniversary (also our first visit to this area). We stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites (loved it!) which is just foot steps from Joe's. We dined there on a Friday night, and we loved it so much we came... more

We studied the menu posted outdoors and knew before we entered that the prices were high. However, the restaurant looked cozy and since it was my husband's birthday we had planned to treat ourselves to some fine dining. I ordered the filet which was delicious and prepared just as I requested. My husband was rather disappointed with the duck he... more

August 2008 We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at the restaurant. We reserved the upstairs dining area which included a balcony. Ryan, the manager, coordinated the event with us and everything was perfect. The staff was friendly and professional, the wine selection was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant whether you dine alone or... more

Sit outside by the fountain on cooler evenings for a delightful dining experience. I had Grouper with rice and black beans - - - a nice southwest kick, after a caesar salad and key lime pie for desert. My wife had the gazpacho with a caesar topped with shrimp. All food was excellent and a decent value for the area... more

This is a cozy litte restaurant located in the historic district of Fernandina Beach. Decor was upscale, but still casual. The menu had many good choices. The first sign something is wrong is when the waiter is slow coming over to ask for your drinks. I'm really not sure whether we had a waiter who was filling in as a... more
