Restaurant Week

We had lunch during Amelia Island Restaurant Week. My meal was excellent. I had the Prime Rib sandwich which is served open faced which melted cheese and a horseradish spread. The coleslaw was not to my liking but many will like it. My wife had the Mahi Mahi taco which was a little too spicy... read more

We like to support the small local restaurants,so we gave it a try. It is a pleasant enough atmosphere, located on First Coast Highway tucked back a bit. We were greeted with very friendly smile. The place was not busy. I think it was a Tuesday evening. There are 2 rooms, we sat in the front section that has booths, tables... More

The calamari was straight out of a bag----we did not enjoy !!! The open face prime rib had a tremendous amount of grizzle, but was tasty. The fish in the tacos was extremely dry, but once again-tasty. Truthfully we were very disappointed. Horizons was our favorite dinner restaurant when it was downtown Fernandina. Perhaps we need to try dinner.

We just had a delicious meal of Pork Tenderloin and Fillet of Beef. Pork was the superior choice but beef was also good. Plenty of menu choices including fish and chicken dishes. Portion size generous and courteous service. Wine selection was a bit short and only beer and wine were served for alcohol drinks. No atmosphere to speak of but... More

This restaurant is a little hard to find - sort of a hidden location in a small shopping area that mostly has non-restaurant type tenants. The restaurant itself is quite big with plenty of room to string tables together if you come with a large group. A nice small seating area in a side patio is very pleasant in good... More

Gourmet food at a reasonable price. Interesting entrees and great specials. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. You are treated more like a regular customer than someone who just came in off the street. The owner/chef is the daughter of the original owner/chef and she learned well from her mom. Both are creative, excellent chefs.

I had not been to Horizons in years but decided to visit their latest location. There are two dining rooms; one casual/bistro with booths and a dressier room better suited for evening. The menu is diverse but I was excited by all the fish selections. Everything our table of three had was delicious. Incredibly fresh and creative. Definitely putting Horizons... More

Horizons is a cozy place with a great local feel. It's a definite departure from the nearby resort restaurants. Toni delivered great service and recommendations. We loved the grouper (juicy and tender) and the duck ravioli. Not something you see on a menu every day. We never felt rushed or hurried and really relaxed and enjoyed our dinner. The chef/owner...
