We are residents of Amelia Island and have eaten at BarZin a few time and we mostly pleased with the food and service. Today the story was different, very different. We ordered and it took forever for our food to arrive and when it did, my crab cake sandwich was stone cold, not to mention the fries, which were even... More

We just had dinner and wine at BarZin on Amelia Island and everything was perfect! Our server Betsey was really helpful and fun to be with. The Grouper and the Red Snapper Veracruse were amazing and the 2 bottles of Nobilo didn't hurt. You will not go wrong here.

Amelia Island (aka Fernandina Beach, Florida) is a beautiful place with Spanish moss draped over live oaks, a pristine sandy beach on the sunrise side and a lush marsh teeming with wildlife (read: alligators and mosquitos plus egrets and herons) on the sunset side. But while it had spectacular scenery in spades, one thing it did not have until a... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of going to Bar-Zin for valentines weekend, I was extremely impressed with the ambiance of the new expansion. my husband and I started off with the crab cakes which were delicious. I had the Seabass which was fantastic and my husband had the stuffed chicken which he loved. Our only down fall to... More

This restaurant really delivers on service and food. It's on the expensive side, with most entrees in the $30 range, but it was one of the better meals my husband and I had on Amelia Island. Service was efficient and timely; the room we ate in was on the noisy side, with many hard surfaces, including the hardwood floor, but... More

This is a fairly new place on Amelia Island. Bar Zin has a large patio, & 3 dining rooms, including the bar, that are beautifully decorated with local art, & handsome furniture. The prices were a bit high when we went there for dinner, but they were still using a special Valentines menu. My risotto with 3 rib lamb chops... More

Six of us went back to BarZin last night. I personally had the crab cake appetizer with rooster remoulade, which was marvelous and had a little kick to it. Others in our party had the mixed salad with dried cranberry and toasted almonds. The entree choices were equally divided among the blackened shrimp, the chicken with white beans in a... More

Go for the wine and outdoor patio, not the food. The quality of the cheese and charcuterie was disappointing. Service was nice and the fire pits outside are very warm and welcoming. Will go back for a glass of wine or two but not to eat.

Impressive; we heard the meat and fish items were locally-sourced and hand-picked that day by the Chef, and we believe it because they were the best we have experienced in the area. We liked the menu, and more importantly loved the five specials offered. The restaurant was full, and we were pleasantly surprised to sit by the outdoor fire pit.... More
