Fun and innovative

We have a couple of meals at this kooky, offbeat, bohemian restaurant in Everglades City. You'll know it by the old VW at the end of the parking lot. We first discovered Camellia St Grill a few years ago, and have enjoyed it as a favorite place to eat in Everglades City. This visit, however, left us on the edge about the place. Is it the end of the season that made things seem tired & worn out, or the lack of 8-9 menu items ("We were swamped last... More

The man that took our order at the window got it wrong and was rude to both ourselves and to the other table whose order he also got wrong! The incorrect orders were more costly. Waited over an hour for cold fried food. Onion rings are barely onion straws. Graturity expectations are actually printed on the bottom of the receipt... More

We had grouper sandwiches here that were really good. The sides included sweet potato fries cut in long wedges, deconstructed onion rings and regular fries. This is a funky place by the water with indoor and outdoor seating. It's very casual (you line up to place your order), but the menu has lots of interesting, fresh choices - including alligator.

A fun and laid back atmosphere! Enjoyed trying alligator! Great place to have some local food and watch the sun set over the everglade trees.

This is an eclectic little restaurant hidden back on a road that you wouldn't expect. It is right on the water front. The tables are mismatched patio furniture that works together nicely. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Our food was DELICIOUS and the staff was very nice. It was a great little find!

We had dinner at Camellia Street Grill. We shared an order of fried green tomatoes and each had fried grouper. The appetizer and dinners were very good. We shared a piece of key lime pie too. The pie was OK but tasted more like lemon than lime. Overall a good meal and the service was very good.

So much fun. The service was slow that night but the music made it all worthwhile. Everyone was so friendly and we had a super time. Oh...we enjoyed our meal too!

This little gem is excellent! They serve fresh local seafood cooked to perfection, and it's on the water.
