Unfortunately, an Everglades City landmark has closed :(. Due to the need for expensive renovations the Seafood Depot has closed and is up for sale. Sorry

The Seafood Depot has now been closed. After many years they have gone out of business. Like most restaurants they did some things better than other things, but there were actually problems with the building that caused its demise. It was a historic building that needed a giant influx of cash to fix. It will be missed by the people... More

Dark and unfriendly restaurant. Some loud locals were drinking in the outside bar. We ordered lots of food - and all of it was overcooked or burned. Wouldn't recommend it. But our waitress was sweet :-)

We had lunch there. Chicken gumbo soup, fish tacos were good. Service was good. Skipped the salad bar, it needed "HELP", Other than that, I would return, & recommend.

Fried oysters were cold, coconut shrimp was fried like a hockey puck. There was one waitress trying to wait on the entire restaurant. The salad bar was crazy...cheetos were one of your choices, yum. Overall horrible greasy experience.

The five of us ordered grilled chicken, steak, fajitas, a fried combo, and kids fish tenders. Three of the meals were ok, though the fries were poor. The fajitas were swimming in oil and the fried combo was over cooked. One harassed server seemed to be doing all the work, whilst the girl out front was being bothered by a... More

The waitress was extremely kind, personable, and attentive. The location was definitely in need of a cleaning and an update, and the food was o.k. considering it was all fried. There could have been more flavor in the gator bites, my son said the fried fish was bland, and the crab cake was like a big fried nugget. The coleslaw... More

Lettuce was brown and slimy shrimp not cleaned. YUCK!!! Waitress was great considering she was the only one working. She was running from table to table with no assistance from anyone like the hostess ( if thats what you want to call her). Lots of people going into kitchen, this is a warning sign to me especially when they had... More

The food was awful! I had the shrimp. They were disgusting. My friend had their fish sandwich. The bun was bigger than than the fish. Neither had any flavor. Their salad bar was poor at best, if you want salad and a small selection of fruit, then go there. The ceiling needs a good cleaning, just glad nothing fell from... More
