Food was good

Other than the wait for the food (took over 30 mins from ordering to food delivery), everything was good. My family enjoyed their meals. My fried fish was well cooked, with flavorful, but not heavy breading. The others were happy too. Nice setting out by the water too. Great place to go. Food... read more

First off, got there a little late, after 12 and already the place was packed. Other people from the sea cruise were in front of us. Then, we had to wait about 15 minutes in line, then another 20 minutes till my wife's Stone Crab claws were ready. However, my braised fish fillet never materialized. Maybe they were trying to... Convenient location to grab a bite before or after airboat tours. This waterside, deli style, eatery is next door to Speedy's airboat tours offering picnic table seating as you watch the airboats come & go. A no frills joint and weathered decor is just what you'd expect to find on the back water edge of the Everglades. A nice selection... More

Went for dinner at 530 pm, they had already shut off their grill for the night. Only fried foods available, but still had several items not available. Everything fried together, tasted like it was fried together. Not impressed. Rated 5 out of 13, overated. Probably would not go back.

This was the best food we had in Everglade's city. And that's saying a lot since this little throw back town has some great dive stone crab shacks! But they were the friendliest, the food seemed the freshest and the feel of this place was our favorite. The owner is hands on and so nice! We felt like family. This... More

We both had fried grouper sandwiches. They were good. Nothing to write home about, but good. The waterside dining is great as long as you get there before the mosquitos and no-see-ums. There aren't many choices in this small town, and this one is one of the better.

Stooped here to eat before an airboat ride. Had some breaded scallops and shrimp. Delicious and so fresh. You can see them dip your seafood in the breading after they take it out of the display case. Very casual, outside dining on the water on picnic benches. You pick up your order at the take out window. This was perfect... More

I had lunch at City Seafood this past Saturday after a trek through the Big Cypress Swamp. I wound up in Everglades City purely by good fortune and found myself at the doorstep of this restaurant/seafood market just moments later. What a great find! Aside from the seafood being super fresh and served rather simply --- which is a good... More

City Seafood is located in the heart of Everglades City. They have a variety of fish on the menu and for sale. The place is located on the water and has views of the Everglades and boats traveling through. It is a casual place with picnic tables to sit. Fish is fresh and well cooked - large portions too. Can... More

In a sense it's not really fair to try to review any of the "restaurants" in Everglades City since they are really mostly picnic benches sit up outside, in covered areas, with food prepared inside and then brought to your table. The food at City Seafood was pretty good, nothing special or memorable. But if you happen to be here... More
