Out of towners pay more for drinks

The reason I know this is I just spent a couple of hours here recently and the purple headed troll monster who manages the bar at this place sits in the corner in his high chair yelling out, "they pay four" "hey she pays four" as it was a new bartender who wasn't aware of who was local and who... read more

Enjoyed a great seafood lunch with friends overlooking an inlet. Had delicious fried oysters (lightly fried) with fries. Others got shrimp wraps & fried shrimp baskets. A very busy place with broad selection of dishes.

Been visiting city seafood at least once for the past 10 years. My last visit was horrible! The shrimp were okay but the stone crabs were horrendous. They were frozen and cooked over, tasteless and disgusting. They advertise the freshest crabs in town but that's a load of crap!! Frozen overcooked seafood will make you sick as it did me.... More

I took my group of 130 British students there this past week and could have not picked a better restaurant for that event. Carrie and her staff were so incredibly friendly and fast while serving all of us in a timely fashion. I personally had the Shrimp Po-Boy which was delicious and I also went with a side of onion... The food was not quite as good as I would have liked. The kitchen was very unorganized, our order was fairly simple and we waited for quite a long time. after we ate there, a local told us we should have gone down to the next restaurant - much better food and service (can't recall the name of the other... this place is nothing fancy, but then one knows that when you arrive. What they do offer is a very good selection of seafood, prepared however you like it, with fast friendly service. Seafood always tastes better when eaten outside with a view of the water. Great "old Florida" laid back feel here.

We booked an airboat tour but had an hour to kill before ride. Captain Jack's airboat company recommended Triad. When we arived at the sunny, outdoor restaurant our cute, young waitress assured us that we would make it back in time for our tour. We did not & had to reschedule. I wish I could say that the food was... More

If you are only looking to stave off hunger, this will work. Service was mediocre, the wine was in the individually packaged plastic cups like at sports area. Zero atmosphere.

We had the shrimp basket and the gator bites. It was prepared very well but the cost was high at $40 for 2 people. The location was nice and the view of the harbor is excellent.

Husband had the cracked conch basket-he said the breading was off and it was greasy. Fries were under the conch and very greasy. I had the pulled pork sandwich-it was good but the sandwich was close to $9.00 and nothing on the side-no chips or pickle. The view of the water and airboats was nice. There was a long line... More
