Finally, a really nice Oyster Bar

We've been to several oyster bars in our travels; some have good raw oysters, but most have either a very limited non-oyster menu, or the "other" food is just barely okay - until we found The Oyster Troff in Eustis. Certainly not a romantic place with soft ambience; rather it's more of a large... read more

This is certainly not our first visit, but if you want good oysters, good shrimp or any good seafood at a reasonable price, this is your place. Oysters, at the most are usually $7.99 per doz and on Mondays and Saturdays they are $6.99 and they run weekly coupons in the Daily Commercials for same. We lucked in last night... More

Raw Oysters by the bucket, shucked right under your nose, is what makes this joint special. Loud music, sports on the TV, and a packed bar only adds to the fun. When you're finished with your meal, bartenders scrape the shells into a trough that runs the entire length of the circular bar. Cool!

Well we weren't sure where to go for a late lunch. Looking in Tavares, we saw the Oyster Troff. This is not a fancy place just a down home look and feel. I had the oysters, two of each oyster and were done three different ways. Outstanding. The wife and I shared a combo plate. Steamed clams, shrimp, crab legs,... More

We liked the food. It was our first time eating Oysters and the staff was very friendly and helped us in ordering and eating them. We have not been back do to the smell though. We almost did not eat here but the reviews were very good so we did and had a nice meal. We might go back well... More

Friendly service, cold beer and someone else does the shucking for you!! We got a bucket of steamed and they were delicious! Couple we were with got a bucket of raw, and 1/2 lb of steamed shrimp and they raved about how good they were.

We are so happy we found this bar. It has a great menu and the oysters & clams are great. We've tried other things on their menu are all were fine but we primarily go for the raw Oysters and steamed Clams. It's not fancy but it a great down home type bar. The prices are very fair.

Had a late lunch with a group of 35+ people, food was barely warm and tasted pre-cooked even though I'm sure it wasn't, service was marginal at best, interior needs updating, price was average. After hearing good things about this restaurant I expected much more, especially in the food's taste and service.

I have been going here for almost 30 years! When I lived here it was 3-5 times a week! When we moved to cocoa beach, we started coming at least 3 times a year, during the antique Extrav 's , and last night had to be the worst night ever! We had to leave, without our dinner ! 20 min... More

This place has good fresh raw or steamed oysters at a fabulous price. The atmosphere is what it's supposed to be. It's an oyster joint, not a fancy steak house. You sit at the bar and eat fresh shucked oysters or steamed clams or peal and eat shrimp and drink beer. It's great.
