Good seafood is a passion for my wife and me, and the Oyster Troff in Eustis is a gem. The oysters and clams are some of the best I have had anywhere and my wife says the shrimp are some of the sweetest she has eaten, (her mom was a commercial shrimper with 7 boats operating out of Key West... Wanted oysters for three of us. Ordered a bucket that was a little more than 3 dozen (40 oysters maybe?). One of us wanted lightly steamed and the rest steamed..that was no problem. Place was empty other than a few folk having some beers. Big bar area, probably room for 50 or so plus another room with table seats. Oysters... More

The oysters are very good and my son is crazy about the chicken wings. It's nothing fancy, but a good place to go that is local.

This place is dirty. Its attached to a hotel, with hookers and drug dealers. I think the hookers are safer than the seafood. Nasty , I would never recommend anyone go near this hole in the wall bar that serves dirty food

We visit the Oyster Troff at least once a month. This time beside the bucket of steamed oysters (3 dozen), we tried the combo appetizer and crabcakes. The oysters were awesome as usual. The combo appetizer plate came with a few chicken wings, cheese sticks, and fried pickles. It was just ok. The crabcakes appetizer came with two small crabcakes,... More

Most of the year this is the place for great oysters. There are some months when the big ones that they like to serve are hard to find. Don't give up if you hit one of those months. Most of the time the oyster bar is busy. They have added a second one and they will shuck and bring to... More

My wife and just recently ate here for the second time. This place is alike a rustic home town bar and grill. There were no waitresses and I was wondering if it was because of Mother's Day. But, the guys that were tending the place were doing pretty good. I had mussels and peel and eat shrimp. Very good! My... More

Love this little pearl. It is a low key place to relax and unwind. We order the bucket oyster special everytime we go. They provide a basket of items to enjoy with your oysters, including cocktail sauce, horseradish, hot sauce, large package of crackers (already opened or you can get a fresh package). We like our oysters lightly steamed. So... More

First impressions are lasting. And the first impression here at the Oyster Troff was made by the most unattractive, surly and disinterested waitress I can recall. Bad day? Maybe. Let's assume that it was simply a bad day for her and thus set her attitude aside. Then you are impressed again - now with a dirty location, weak menu and... More

Plus of course so many other great things on the menu! I often get the steam clams and there just great! My husband gets the shrimp cocktail and raves about it! All of these wonderful things for a really low price. Its a laid back sorta place... its nothing pretty but its clean. If you love oysters and your love... More
