We winter in Estero and found this restaurant last winter and LOVED IT. Nice to listen to music & dine outside. We took our visitors there and they loved it (they were on their honeymoon). I'm so sad to have it closed. 80 year olds don't need to have a sports bar - we love to dance and listen to... More

I liked this place a lot, they had Island style and food which was something really different. Now they are putting in a sports bar and like a previous reviewer said, we don't need ANOTHER sports bar. ugh.

We live in the Ft Myers area and used to love to eat here. Last time we went they had trouble with their credit card machine. When I looked at our bank statement we were charged twice. I called the restaurant and asked for a manager, which wasn't there, so I left a message that we were charged twice. I... More

We were on vacation and needed to find a place to eat at the mall. The food was good, the service was ok, mojito was best I've ever had. All in all, I would say it was good but not somewhere that I would wholeheartedly recommend.

Stopped for a nice dinner before an evening out. My wife and I had fantastic conch chowder and lobster bisque. The conch chowder was as good as I've gotten in the islands. This was a great surprise. We also got the Jerk wings which were tangy but not spicy. They were very good. Very disappointed with the flat bread however.... More

If you are visiting the Coconut Point mall, there are several restaurant options, but I recommend Hemingways for lunch. (Reading other reviews, probably lunch is best time to eat here) It has some charm and an islandy atmosphere. The service was friendly and helpful. Loved my salmon salad. Many of the dinner items are available in lunch size portions. There... More

Hemingway's is a chain restaurant with limited charm and below average food. It's nice to sit outside with views of a man made pond. While not an expensive restaurant, I still would expect better quality for the prices. The only perk of this place for me was a good selection of wine by the glass
