Small plates of several goodies, all great Joyce is the owner and she recommended several dishes. Everything we ate tonight was fantastic and delicious
This is a jewel of a wine bar in small town, old Florida southwest coast. A very nice selection of good to great wines and a good staff of people who can make good recommendations. They also have one of the best small-plate chefs in the state. We tried several and were delighted with every one. If you're anywhere close... More
Just home from having had a fabulous meal with friends from Germany who have been holidaying in Englewood for many years, but were unaware of Vino Loco's existence. Top notch Tapas with well chosen cured meats, cheeses and lots of home cooked dishes - washed down with a very drinkable Chilean camenere offered as a special ($18 a bottle) Attentive... More
Wonderful eatery ..the best wine selection and a owner who shares her knowledge and love of wines with patrons!! We sampled the tomato soup, egg salad sandwich , olives, and chicken skewers today. Everything was delicious including the daily wine selection!! We love Englewood and all the retailers.. We love to Shop and eat at Local small businesses.
We stopped by on the way home from the baseball game and wanted a light dinner. We shared the tapas plate for two and it included 2 cheeses, salami, chorizo, Spanish olives, anchovies, caper berry flowers, apple slices, almonds, hummus and a variety of toasted breads to enjoy with the meal. There are many wines available by the glass and... More
We enjoyed a lovely tapas here for 4 of us. The service was very good and the tapas was really good, my only complaint is that some of the tapas dishes only had 3 on them an when there are 4 of you you struggle to share. They are also quite pricey, but very tasty all the same !
Our first visit was for Sunday brunch, mimosas followed by two variations on eggs Benedict, one the menu standby, the other with smoked salmon. My wife and I love eggs Benedict, she in particular orders them all over the country, we agreed that these preparations are unsurpassed. The following week we returned for a tapas lunch, the plate for two,... More
Nice break from the local establishments. Finally a place with some culture and class in a ....well, let's just say an area that hosts other national flags besides the great USA. .. Sorry, but it is what it is. Great wine, and cheese plates; on par with similar establishments in Napa, and Chicago.
If ever I was to recommend an experience in this part of Florida, this would be it - the annual Wine Walk hosted by Vino Loco. An unbelieveable turnout of great folks just wanting to enjoy the day (and night), taste great wines and gourmet food items, what fun!! Joyce and Roz put on a show that will be long... More
