The surprise of it being closed when we arrived hungry on October 18, 2014, is the kind of thing that brings tears to your eyes. This was a destination type place. You just drive the 60 miles because it is worth it. It would be nice if they could sell to some one who would make it whole again.

While in Palmetto visiting friends we stopped as usual at this Crab trap to enjoy the perch dinner that we enjoy so much. We were shocked to find it closed and up for sale. We proceeded to the old Crab trap 1 location and found them open under a different name. In our opinion , the perch dinner there was... More

The fairly new owner of this location has owned another area restaurant for years - one of our favorites. We had eaten here years ago under other ownership. We wanted to try it under her ownership. My husband had a grouper sandwich, which was 'fresh' but not especially tasty. I had a chicken quesadilla which was good and large enough... More

It appears that not enough people liked old fashioned home cooked meals in a non stereotypical atmosphere. Too bad. I will miss it.

The food is average and I think it is overpriced for what you get. I was not very impressed, although the view is beautiful and that is the draw here. The insides are quite old fashioned and definitely needs an update.

We were taken to the Crab Trap this evening by friends who just loved this restaurant. How disappointed we were to hear that this was there last night in business. We must say that even though the help was given their notice when they reported for work, they did a wonderful job of both preparing the food and serving it.... More

The resturant is over looking a small lake very nice. The crab cakes are some of the best I have eaten.

We have been to Lee's Crab Trap many times as it is very close to our home. On our most recent visit on March 31st we found that the food was inconsistent. Our party was split on the opinions of their entrees. My D-I-L and I enjoyed our entrees (Crab Cakes and Grouper Almondine) while my husband and son were... More

I went to Crab Shack II with a group of 14 seniors for lunch. We were seated quickly at a large enough table for all of us with a fantastic view which was greatly appreciated. Our server was Ann Marie and she was friendly, efficient and fast. The drinks came out quickly and the service of food was also efficient... More

The service was adequate, but the food was a disgrace to even be called food. Over priced and the dinner we ordered was an insult to be passed off as fresh seafood. The restaurant must have gotten their seafood from some large box store FROZEN EVERYTHING. When we complained and sent our meals back, the manager promised to take care... More
