Most Consistent Restaurant on West Coast of FL

I have been dining with Roger and his staff since it opened in the 90's. The food is excellent the prices are very reasonable. I have never had a bad meal and have never heard a negative remark made about Cafe Alfresco. You gotta go.

Cafe Alfresco, situated adjacent to the Pinellas Trail on Main Street, is where I enjoyed a Saturday late-Breakfast / Brunch. My first choice had been Kelly's, but after having been told there was a 45-minute wait (at 11 a.m.) and observing how dark and seemingly over-crowded Kelly's was .. I chose to go elsewhere. I'm convinced the decision not to... More

Went for lunch. Lobster salad was good and generous, Cuban was traditional and good. Pastrami on rye was a little tough as they kind of brown the pastrami to heat it up. Very noisy. Hard to carry on a conversation with four people. Probably should have sat outside.

Thank you ToniTea! We are very happy to hear how much you enjoyed the food and service. Regarding the noise level we couldn't agree with you more. We are already in the process of adding acoustic dampening panels into our restaurant. It's taken a fair bit of planning as we wanted them to be functional, easy on the eye, and... More

I like to eat at Alfresco every time I go to Dunedin. I have never been disappointed. The menu has something for everyone and the food is always fresh and beautifully prepared with an original touch. It isn't unusual to find a line outside of people waiting to get in. One of my favorite things there is the curry. You... More

Took awhile to get service but it was very good. Waitress very nice with great recommendations. Eggs Benedict excellent - hollandaise was perfect, Eggs Alfresco also very good. Bloody Mary's outstanding. Will try Eggs Florentine next time - the bottom is a homemade hash brown patty with peppers, onions, topped with poached egg, spinach and sauce. Sat outside and warm... Popped in during the lunchtime rush and it was pleasantly busy but as we wanted to sit outside there was no waiting. The menu had a really nice variety to choose from and all the food we saw at other diners tables looked terrific. For desert I had the Blueberry Pie and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the... Not a huge selection but good options. Everyone's food was delicious. Great location. Nice sunroom that is air conditioned with a view of the pinellas trail.

Visited here several times during our stay in the town. Excellent food and service. Steaks were very good as were the fish dishes we sampled. Arrived on a quiet Sunday evening five minutes before closing and were seated and served. You won't be disappointed.

The food was great! We love downtown Dunedin and this restaurant is located right in the heart. They offer a wide variety of items but I had the scallops which were awesome. My husband had the steak and he was happy also. The prices are very fair and we can't wait to go back! We have paid far more for... More
