We happened to be there during one of their downtown movie nights in April. We bought a LARGE bag of popcorn from a nearby street vendor. The door man at Cafe Alfresco invited us in to the restaurant as we were walking by. He saw that I was carrying the BIG bag of popcorn and made a friendly comment about... More

I came in this afternoon around 4 pm for tea and the chocolate bread pudding, just a light snack. Seating was fine and the waiter came right over. Everyone was pleasant but the restaurants wasn't busy so don't read too much into that. There was no selection of tea. They have 1 black tea. No green tea. No herbal tea.... More

Yesterday I had lunch with a friend at Cafe Alfresco. We opted to eat in their enclosed porch and we felt like we were eating outside. We both had the grouper sandwich prepared differently. Both sandwiches were delicious. I ordered a quart of their chicken noodle soup to take home for dinner that evening. It was amazing. As I now... More

We've strolled around Dunedin many times, been to most of the restaurants, and attended a few festivals and events. Yesterday was our first time at Cafe Alfresco. The food was great. We were 3 couples, everyone ordered something different and we all loved the food. Unfortunately though we felt very unwelcome. Sure, we had a total of 4 kids between... More

I have been to Cafe Alfresco a couple of times with my girlfriend. It is located right next to the Pinellas bike trail in Dunedin, a great place to stop and have a bite to eat. The place is always busy, a good sign that good food is being served and people enjoy being there. On both occasions our servers... More

Had dinner here on our first night in Dunedin. It was very busy but they got us in in about 30 minutes. Food was of good quality. Our server Terry was very friendly and responsive. Would eat there again when in town.

In the quaint, little downtown area of Dunedin, this restaurant is a place frequented by locals and tourists alike. The mature staff makes everyone feel welcome. The food is pretty standard lunch fare -- a good variety of sandwiches and salads, plus some seafood. Dinner menus offers additional entrees, including Italian entrees and more seafood choices. Prices are very reasonable... More

A warm greeting at the door, friendly service, a creative and varied menu, good food. This restaurant had been recommended by some local folks and did not disappoint. Tried the buttermilk fried chicken - excellent - and my companion had the Cuban sandwich, also excellent. Our waitress was prompt, courteous and a delight to talk to. Couldn't have been a... More
