Be prepared for close quarters but for outstanding food and service. Pricey. Good wines but not for children.

Small, intimate, outstanding in every way except price, but you definitely get what you pay for--superb service, personable and knowledgeable; wonderful food, both taste and presentation; nice ambiance, ideal for friends or romance. Finest kind in every way! Our party of five tied two appetizers and five different entrees and rated each 'perfect'. A very special place.

Everything was wonderful at this quaint, tiny restaurant in the heart of town until we saw the cockroaches crawling up the wall right next to our table. (And in the bathroom) We talked to the owner and he tried to say all restaurants have these in Florida. (He also said the cockroaches were living in the wall we were butted... More

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere!!! The new owners have held on to the rich history of the restaurant. Everything I tried was delicious.

The Black Pearl is a small and luxurious restaurant that only has about fifteen or so tables. The decor is plush and elegant and done in shades of gray. They mix vintage plates in with their regular service dishes, and I really enjoyed seeing the mismatched dishes on our table. It made for a colorful and pretty table service. The... More

There is a reason the Black Pearl has been in business for almost two decades...excellence in dining! We were celebrating a special anniversary and one of the owners, Trevor Gibbs did everything possible to make our dining experience superb. The chef created a magnificent lobster thermidor especially for us. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we knew we... More

My husband chose the Black Pearl to surprise me with a proposal on Christmas Eve. He didn't have a clue what he was doing, and the restaurant had no idea what was happening until I went to the ladies room and he let them know what he was trying to accomplish. They were very happy to play a role in... More

This little store front on Main Street in Dunedin is an absolute gem and provides the finest dining experience you could ask for. The room is small, dark and candlelit - romantic. The servers are experienced, pleasant, knowledgable and aim to please. They are happy to see you. But the thing that sets the Black Pearl apart is the food.... More

Jack and I decided to try something different. So we called for reservations and landed a table for 8pm. We arrived 10 minutes early so the maitre d offered us the wine menu while they were readying our table. This is our first visit in about 9 years and not much has changed. The atmosphere is lovely. Dark, cool and... More
