Our expectation was a cozy Italian restaurant. Dining room is nice, faux stone block painting on walls makes it somewhat cozy. Where is the aroma? Didn't smell garlic, tomato, spices, warm bread, etc....... you know; Italian! The waitress told us about happy hour, it didn't match the website, but 2 for 1 wines was OK even though we had already... More

Not many places in Florida serve Sicilian Pizza - and this one beats all I've tried since moving here from the Bronx. That being said, as someone mentioned, everything here is a la carte. I asked for sauce on the side (I like saucy pizza) and was charged extra. In New York, coffee comes with milk, not cream. Instead of... More

For a local restaurant, this one does Italian well. If you want a more trendy fare and ambiance, go to Positano's in Palm Harbor. Umberto's has a delicious menu, while somewhat limited. I do not eat pasta so I would like a vegetable substitution for the traditional pasta offered with the entree and they do not offer a vegetable at... More

My family and I have been going to Umberto's of Long Island for close to 20 years. Long Island transplants ourselves we were ecstatic there was an Umberto's only minutes from our new home. The food by Florida standards is tasty. I know the myth that there must be a difference in the water down here in FL than NY... More

I drove past Umberto's on my way home and decided to stop for dinner. It was probably 4:30ish so the restaurant was not crowded. My server Shannon was excellent - she was personable, kept her distance while I was eating just a delightful person. I ordered the Zita with eggplant. Fabulous!!!! I have eaten a lot of egg plant and... More

This is great american italian food right from long island. I lived in Italy and Long Island so I'm familiar with the differences. You will like the food for sure and the service is excellent.

I started going to Umberto's over 25 year ago and it quickly became my favorite Italian restaurant. This is a Italian family owned and run business not a large chain "Italian" restaurant. The Illiano family takes pride in their food and are not just the owners but are directly involved in every aspect of the business and are there cooking... More

I'd not been to the Long Island locations, but went with a friend who had. (I think the place was full of New Yorkers!) Fresh-tasting tomato sauce, fresh veggies, excellent quality cheese, this was a real treat in Florida. The "everything" pizza was fine for me - though the others wished for more "everything" piled onto it. If I lived... More

This restaurant by far is the best. I really miss New York Italian food but as long as Umberto's is open I can honestly say I feel like I am back home.
