The atmosphere was alright. Our server was good. The food was disappointing. We ordered the scallops which were cold and flavorless. The paella wasn't bad but the mussels in it were. Nothing about the dining experience warranted the $100 check. Won't be giving it a second try.

Didn't get to taste the food because even though we stood at the podium where they take bookings and asked for the menu, we were totally ignored. After some shuffling of the feet we left without a word being said to us by staff at all!

Attached to Hawks Cay resort so the inside was pretty. Outside seating had a view of the fire pit and swimming pool but when we went, there were too many screaming kids running around. We sat inside which was a nice and quiet atmosphere. The food was good and filling but desserts not impressive. Guess they had a problem with... More

The hostess was sweet. Everything else was not! The atmosphere and music was dreary, not as expected. The lighting was uncomfortably bright hanging over every table. Menu was limited. They ran out of what I ordered so I settled. The waiter Oscar was not attentive at all. I had to ask for water, ask for bread, ask for napkins. He... More

Since nobody in our family felt up to driving to Marathon to look for different dining experiences, we ate at Alma's four of the five nights we stayed at Hawks Cay. The food is good, though over-sauced, so you need to remember to ask the waiter to specify no sauce. Fish selections limited to mahi-mahi and snapper. Great oysters (raw... More

Wife and I had dinner at Alma and the Bronzed Florida Mahi was delicious to the last bite. Everything on the plate was wonderful, from the borsin infused potatoes to the spinach.

Evening started by being greeted by Amy and Tara. Both ladies were very kind and very accommodating. Gave us the best booth in the restaurant and suggested delightful appetizers. The ceviche was very fresh, the chorizo and potato was the perfect amount of heat and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. Main course we ordered the Snapper and Paella. Not... More
