We live locally and go to La Paz 3-4 times a month. The food and service are excellent. The Fajitas are outstanding. The Margaritas too. Can't go wrong here. Good music, food, service and atmosphere mixed with locals and tourists.

The margaritas are the best I've had in Destin (made with fresh squeezed juices), and the queso is wonderful. We sat at the bar and Jessica the bartender was great. Their menu says that their grouper tacos are sourced locally and it shows in their quality. We have been coming to la paz for years and will definitely be back.... More

My friend got fish tacos and LOVED them. The strawberry margaritas were also good. But I ordered beef enchiladas and they were AWFUL. It was basically just ground beef with a ketchup-like substance in an over cooked tortilla. When I sent it back after 4 bites, the waiter brought me a check charging me $14.99! I asked if they could... More

I think it's funny that the review before mine said the fajitas needed to be cooked more. Someone apparently read that and went a little too far, because my fajitas were overcooked and dried out. Besides that, everything had a good flavor. The atmosphere was good, and the prices were reasonable for Tex-Mex. I do think they are a little... More

We usually only go to seafood restaurants in Destin but a friend recommended this place so we tried it. Had the shrimp tostada and it was very tasty. My friends had fish tacos (with in season cobia) and they were very happy with them. Pre-meal chips and salsa were good - they offer 2 salsas, a mild green one and... More

We have gone Here every year we come. It has been a few yrs this time and unfortunately it's gone down hill. It now has new owners who have priced everything to high and the quality is just not there. They no longer have the same authentic Mexican food they once had.

It's not the best Mexican food but it's not the worst. The service is about average and so is the food. But, remember, you are in Destin, FL, so it's pretty good all things considered. The place is quite large and can seat large groups which is a plus when on vacation. We have never had to wait and they... More

All the Mexican joints around town are pretty tasty. They each offer fast service and large portions. However, La Paz is a notch above the rest>>> IF you're willing to spend the price. Seafood is fresh and the management is great. The seafood/mexican combination is superb. Fish comes from down the road at harbor docks, so you know it ain't... More
