We hit Osaka while on vacation and honestly, it was our best dining experience in Destin. Terrific teppanyaki chef (and we've seen plenty of them), and overall great service. Everyone was VERY friendly. Food w/alcohol and dessert for $50 (2 people). Did not try the sushi, and probably should have, b/c the sushi we had elsewhere in Destin was brutal.... more

I've been to many japanese steakhouses and this one ranks in the bottom. We waited about 15-20 minutes after eating the soup and salad until the chef appeared to cook dinner (and the place was very empty with only two other tables filled up). The cheapest hibachi meal was $20 (chicken) so dinner for two with tip (water to drink)... more

Always a consistently good meal--sushi bar is the best in Destin. Their Hibachi tables are always good. No complaints and no raves. more

The title says it all. Harbor Docks in over-rated. Osaka is easy in and out with a REAL parking lot. And the sushi is better than Harbor Docks. Also has cooking tables for those not interested in sushi. more

Read the reviews and decided to try Osaka. I guess it depends if this is your first experience at such a restaurant. I have eaten at many Japanese " habachi-type restaurants. We ordered the Habachi Chicken and the Habachi Chicken and Shrimp combo. Such meals are typically served with soup, salad, fried rice/vegetables, and meat. It was obvious to us... more

The sushi is great! The resaurant is clean and well kept (which is more than I can say for most of the hibachi places in the area). The service is good and the staff is friendly. Anytime I am in the mood for sushi I make the drive from Mary Esther down to Destin! more

I went on a Monday night - ate at the sushi bar. Was seated immediately and the wait staff was wonderful! Salad was delicious. I ate the only thing I ever eat - Shrimp Rolls. Absolutely heavenly. We eat here every time we are in Destin. My first experience with sushi and still my favorite. Everything tastes so fresh and the variety is great! I can't wait to eat there next week on our vacation to Destin! more
