Dinner here is a real treat. Even the kids menu is high class. Cocktails are good with some interesting variations on old style classics. Fish is definitely fresh, the seafood pasta was packed full of shell fish. Desserts though were a little disappointing. Especially given the high standards set by the entrees and starters. However still a good place to... More

We chose the fishmarket because of the location. After the movie some friends and I went to have a bite to eat. It was 7 o'clock on a Sunday night. We were told no reservation 45 minute wait. We were then given the option to sit at the bar. We sat at the bar while we noticed hardly any people... More

I did not give this a 5 rating because my wife was not wild about the lobster tail. It was a bit crunchy and over-cooked. I, however, had an excellent red snapper dish. The ambiance was very nice.

Awesome dining experience. A big shout out to our waiter, Will who made great recommendations for our fish and wine selection. Perfect evening out for our celebration. Oh, and don't skip desert... can't remember the name of it, but it was massive amounts of chocolate and the carrot cake was divine! Plenty to share!

Had the Cervantes appetizer and the Red Grouper prepared Shanghai style "Excellent"! Service was very good also. Did eat before main rush but would recommend anytime.

After eating all week at several restaurants and the food being "just ok" and the service being even worse this place was a breath of fresh air. The food was incredible and the service was outstanding. It seemed to be a theme in the Destin area to wait half and hour just to receive your check and our server at... More

Had a reservation. Did not look like we needed one. Place was not very full. Party of five and we were seated between the noisy kitchen behind us and the birthday party table on other side. Loud and louder. We could hear every dish being cleaned, loaded, etc. Birthday party consisted of several loud guests all drinking heavily. One guest... More

My wife and I had gone to another restaurant for dinner on our anniversary and were greatly disappointed with that experience. So we went to Mitchell's for dessert based on their dessert menu and reviews. Our evening was salvaged by the attentive service of our waiter Andrew who took great care of us. The seven layer carrot cake is wonderful.... More

Much like Mark0818's recent review, Mitchell's has been a mainstay for us for many years. I've eaten there at least a dozen times. They have lowered their standards. As a result it will be hard for me to go back. Mitchell's has a unique seafood concept - several different fishes (grouper, cobia, snapper, tilapia, etc) that can be prepared any... More

This was our second visit to Mitchell's. The first time was last October with just a party of 2 and the most recent was this past weekend with a party of over 10. Each time we came at happy hour and sat on the patio outside the bar. Each time we also had the same waitress. The first time service... More
