La Cigale, a Taste of the Mediterranean has had a rebirth in downtown Delray Beach, Florida. Just south of busy Atlantic Avenue on Federal Highway you will be swept away to the sights and smells of the Mediterranean Coastline. Try the grilled artichoke, tuna, sole, or any of the regionally inspired standards, they are all excellent. Let the tourists have the over priced stuff on the Avenue, this is the real thing.

There were no entrees under $32 and we chose coq au vin and duck with a sweet sauce. Neither of them were prepared French style-- the duck was not crispy as promised and the coq au vin was over cooked As well as the vegetables that accompanied the dinner. The only French component was the waiter and the maître D!... More

My wife and I revisited La Cigale and, as usual, had not only a great meal but also excellent service under the watchful eye of the owner. The quality and presentation of the Bronzini was very good. Also the Salmon was cooked the way my wife had requested. The Calvados flambé apple tart was very enjoyable. The Pouilly-Fuiseé was good... More

My wife, son and I had dinner there. There were some real hits and a few near misses. Overall, worth the money. My Branzini was great. Prepared and seasoned perfectly. My wife loved the Coq au Vin although I though the one we cooked at home was a bit better and there were no pearl onions. My son's reaction was... More

Three of us had the pleasure of dining here while in Delray---La Cigale is not on the tourist circuit and has a loyal following--so reservations recommended. Based on the variety of our orders--most anything on the menu can be ordered with confidence. A big hit.

My husband and I just returned from our first dinner at La Cigale. My husband is not and never has been a fan of French restaurants. However, after our dining experience this evening, we agree that this is the best French restaurant we have ever been to , having never dined in France. The house vodka martinis , the seafood... Not touristy. Real food. And really good food. This is a real restaurant - sophisticated yet homey with a really interesting menu. I am obsessed with the petite osso buco over polenta. So delicious. Great fish. Great onion soup!! Over the top desserts. It's a must on every south Florida trip I take!

Absolutely delicious. Just great lamb chops, Scottish salmon, duck etc.. Great value - especially using Groupon $50.00 Certificate. Wonderful wines and peach melba. 20% Gratuity is added on tab when using Grouon.

What a gem of a place off the beaten path in Delray. The owner is absolutely charming and the service friendly and attentive. We've only been living here a few months, trying many restaurants hoping to find places to enjoy as much as we did in NY. Decor is simple but comfortable and cozy. Could stand to be a bit... More
