Food and Fun

Had a great dinner here! As previously noted the menu is a blackboard, nothing isn't fresh, changes regularly. We both had fish, excellent, simple preparation. The wine list won't bankrupt anyone and has some good choices. This relaxed venue is worth the trip, call for reserves!

Sat at the bar with a friend. We ordered the sea bass and scallops. Both were quite delicious. Fish was cooked nicely and well presented, scallops the same. That's it nothing more, nothing less. The service was a complete turn off. There were only a few tables seated, the service was slow and the waiter was indifferent at best and... More

Been living in Delray Beach for many years; heard about Jimmy's Bistro, but for some reason, never dined here. Tonight my boyfriend and I decided to finally make a reservation, and are we glad we did. Each course was sublime, the staff, Peter and Jackie, exceptionally helpful, and the restaurant, while small, has a great vibe. The meal was so... More

This has to be one of the best restaurants in Palm Beach County. It is quite small, so make a reservation. Sit at the bar, if you like, also. The wines are wonderful, the ever-changing menu on the chalk board at the bar offers an amazing variety of perfectly prepared food, The bread is delicious and desserts are beautiful creations.... Eat here about 5 times a month. I have eaten in every restaurant in Delray many times. This is one of the most fun, relaxed, and top quality places you will eat. Jimmy is highly trained ( French/NYC ) chef. Great food & and very good wine.

My wife found Jimmy's about 6 months ago and we've now been 4 times - it's a great little find on Swinton just off Atlantic Avenue. It's small so be sure to book a table or a seat at the bar, especially in the season. The seafood is as fresh as you can get - right off the boat. And... More

I have now eaten here several tines because a few friends LOVE going here. I find it mediocre at best. Expensive, and slow service. The ravioli was practically inedible..

I have eaten here twice-- once in December and then again last night. Each time the food was very good. Other reviewers have commented on the tight space and lack of ambience. I had the same server both times. I can't tell whether he has a miserable personality or no personality. In any event it will keep me from coming... More

Jimmy's Bistro is a small restaurant (seats about 40 people at most) just off Atlantic Ave. in downtown Delray Beach. The food served here is outstanding, with many specials each day that are really good (don't just look at the menu on the Interent). We had the sauté Tilefish with a delicious Buerre Blanc sauce. Probably one of the best... More

Our meals at Jimmy's were some of the best we have had in the area. The shrimp ettouffe was excellent, good strong flavor, but balanced and not overpowering. Highly recommended. Excellent service too.
