The location is convenient and the care taken in preparation of the tapas is evident. We took our family and a guest there on our first visit... welcomed by all and the variety offered made for a lively experience (and conversation). The atmosphere enhances the experience and you'll walk away with a new favorite. With the nature of tapas, all... More

Our son suggested eating at De La Vega when we were in DeLand for his graduation from Stetson and we are glad he did. Several reviews commented that the entrees were expensive, but we thought the tapas portion of the menu was quite reasonable. The three of us shared four delicious tapas: - Plantain Tacitas (plantains with hibiscus, red wine,... More

Visited here for a dinner with some family from out of town. We sat outside which was nice however the table cloth was covered in crumbs. Looking over the menu I was shocked by the prices on the entrees. They were fancy dish selections however what was served was not worth it by no means. We had a party of... More

Although it may appear that they are primarily vegan, don't be misled. There are plenty of other items on the menu that will satisfy. I had the beef strips with the balsamic reduction and brown rice ....excellent! The service, and friendly attitude of the staff makes for a pleasant dining experience. We can't wait to return!

This is one of my favorite restaurants to visit in Deland. We love spicey and different. They have great apps and we love the small plates to share. They have the best sangria I have ever had. Great outdoor seating as well.

The tapas were varied as was the whole menu. Great waitress, clean atmosphere, great menu selections. The food was delicious and perfectly presented. The value is moderate. The ambiance was great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant when in the area.

My wife and I took a day trip to DeLand, Fl. from our home base Kissimmee, Fl.. We went primarily to seek quilt shops of which my wife is an avid fan. We began to get hungry at 2pm and started to toss about what type of cuisine we would like to indulge in. We had several choices, Greek, Italian,... More

Restaurant tapas were varied & I was able to try some things I had never eaten. Everything was attractively served & it was fun to share tapas with my friend and spend a long time relaxing & eating. Weather was good that evening and we chose an outside table. I was surprised how generous the servings were for tapas. It... More

I absolutely love De La Vega and have to stop in at least once a week. The customer service is always fantastic, and the food is always amazing. It's almost too pretty to eat! There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options available which is quite unusual for the local area.
