This is the go-to place for upscale Mexican, with a Chef trained in Mexico and New Mexico. Her food is amazing, especially the fish encheladas (called "fisheladas." Also, the queso is the best around. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy our quaint little Main Street. DeLand is home to Stetson University, and we have several festivals a year. De La... More

My wife and I visited Deland to explore a new place. We were looking for a place to have lunch There were 3 or 4 restaurants located right near each other. We picked this one because they had the nicest outdoor tables. The food might have been a tad expensive, but I realize that the restaurant owner has to make... More

The tapas menu here is the best! An full array of choices with creative mixtures of ingredients and tasty sauces in small portions allow a group to sample across the menu. Each dish is nicely presented and explained by a professional and welcoming wait staff. Sangria is always on tap to turn a lunch into a special meal. Choose a... More

The food is incredible. I think it really tastes authentic and they use fresh ingredients. the service has been great each time we visit. we have been there at least five times and each time we have been very happy. The plates are beautifully presented and the food always tastes fresh. I have had the chile rellenos - absolutely delicious.... More

We sat outside and had tapas at this intimate, local treasure. The food was fresh and flavorful. Our waitress was friendly and attentive.

I visited this restaurant this afternoon at 5:15. We had reservations because we'd heard it got busy on Saturdays. They have tables inside and outside the restaurant. We were greeted quickly and decided to sit inside. My husband and I really liked the ambiance of the restaurant and the pacing of the meal. Brooke was our waitress and she was... More

De La Vega is one of my favorite places to dine in this area. We usually order from the Tapas Menu and are never disappointed. Each plate is beautifully presented, but most of all, these beautiful creations send your taste buds soaring with one incredible flavor after another. Try the Aspirinas (with Chorizo), the Banderillas for sure... however, I think... More

Cute place. South American Food. Prices are too high to try again. Portions small - even on the Topas.

We had dinner for six on 10-7-2014. Each of us commented on the excellent menu, food and service. This is not the standard Mexican fare. They call it Latin Fusion. I call it an awesome flavor explosion. I had the Chilango Con Carne. Check out this on their menu. Their chorizo is packed with flavor. Try it for sure!

Delicious tapas with some unusual ingredients like hibiscus flower and cactus among others. The restaurant scene in Deland is in some ways far superior to the much larger Port Orange/Daytona area. Greek, Mediterranean, Thai and New Wave Tex Mex are all part of their expanding eatery scene. Prices are moderate as well. De La Vega offers three menus for lunch.... More
