Place is small and gets crowded, so get there early. The dining room consists of both booths and tables, and decorated in a country manner. I found the service terrific, our waitress was friendly and accommodating . They serve very good home cooked food with large portions at a reasonable price. We had the fried flounder filet sandwich, which was... More

I've been visiting the Potato Patch for over 15 years and every time I come back to Deland I make an effort to visit. It looks like a shack from the outside but the parking lot is always full. The service is great and the food is fantastic though the portions are a bit bigger than I like. If visiting... More

We happened upon this breakfast place on the highway at the right time on a Sunday morning (maybe 10AM?). It got a bit crowded shortly after we were seated. The place is a mom-and-pop place where people stand in the doorway waiting to get in, there's a counter with the cash register, and then tables and booths. The breakfast is... More

Had a great home cooked breakfast. The place was jumping and it wasn't hard to see (and taste) why. Nice place for a family breakfast or get together with friends.

This is a very small restaurant & the tables were all filled, which was probably why the food took awhile to get. The food was great & portion size was very big. BUT...bring cash as credit/debit cards are not taken & unless I missed it, there are NO signs stating this. The owner tho let us come back to pay... More

Go early or prepare to wait for a table. Breakfast is so popular that people have breakfast for lunch. Favorites are sausage, sausage gravy, biscuits. No, I think it's the pancakes. Well, maybe it's the French toast. If you want lunch, go by 11:30 or prepare for a wait. The decor is small hometown decor ( a little duct tape... More

If ever in the town of DeLand Florida be sure to go to The Potato Patch on the main drag just a little south from the beautiful downtown. There you will be greeted by the frendly owners Doug and Lil. The down home cooking will fill your belly for sure. Get there early to be sure u get your seat... More

We've been meaning to stop for a while and I'm glad we finally did. The service was great and the food was better. The only downfall is they are a cash-only establishment but we were prepared. Definitely will return

We went with friends from Deland who said it was their favorite place for breakfast or brunch. It is relatively small, you're likely to wait to be seated, and it can be crowded and noisy. But, the food is good. Our group had two egg breakfasts with home fries and a pancake (choice of: toast, biscuit or a pancake), Eggs... More
